Equipment to use at Level 40?

Greetings, having almosted reached the point of Red Mage's ascent to uberness, i ask, what should i be wearing at level 40? My current armor is the level 30 Studded Gear and a Frost Robe, which i have a feeling are going to be outdated at level 40-41, oh, do not suggest the Morion Earings, as i don't have the money to just pick them up. ( 100K Each >_<)

As Rdm you don't really need any real upgrade to your gear between 30~50 at all actually. 52~60 you'll get your AF armors and those will last you a long time.

At level 40 you can still use Lv30 gear no problem.

Just my taste but at 40 Rdm rarely has to melee or take any hits at all :O I used the bastok conquest Lv40 body part(gambrison something in english?)
I like to put on martial pants/white subon because they look nice ^^ but race suite parts are excellent for the MP tho (race leg+shoes = around +50MP for hume)

You can get a flame dagen (Lv40) and use it until your get your AF1 (Lv41-42). Flame dagen is a nice invesment, you can trade it to NPC for Zvarlh map later ^^v

Save your money for spells. you'll have to get protect3 shell3 and refresh.

If you are Taru, I suggest you get RSEs for your body and legs. You get total +3 MND from these.

Here's what I recommend for your PT equipment.

Weapon: Chestnut Wand / Flame Degen
Shield: Balance Buckler

Head: Electrum Hairpin
Neck: Holy Phial
Body: Wonder Kaftan
Hands: Centurion F. Gauntlets
Waist: Druid's Rope / Mrc. Captain Belt
Legs: Wonder Braccae
Feet: Centurion Gleeves
Back: Black Cape / White Cape

Would it be advisable to wear electrum rings as a taru at lvl 40 or wait till later?

I think you should save your money for later equipments. 40RDM/20BLM has 483HP and 431MP. With Electrum Hairpin, you then have 473HP and 456MP. It's well balanced and you can make full use of Convert.

me myself find 2 electrum rings very useful for my taru.Right now i have only the wonder kaftan but with that and the 2 rings i have HP: 494 Mp 521 thats at lvl 42. Im getting the RSE pants which will give me more hp. I dont know its up to you.

Heh, well I guess you can never have too much MP, but as a Taru you are somewhat gifted in that area anyway, so you don't need to overdo it with the HP->MP conversion equipment.

Personally, at level 40 I was poor as hell. I had 2 of the hume RSEs for decent MP boosts and I got the conquest equipment that increases long range accuracy because it looked nice. I wore the red beret thing on my head and I was carrying the lv40 sword with occasional light damage (sorry I don't remember the name). Lv40 equipment is useful for BC40 too, so if you have a ton of beastmen seals, try doing some of them before you get rid of your equipment for higher level stuff.

I dun get it. The lvl 40 Coral hairpin is 30k at AH in my server(leviathan). And the lvl 50 Gold Hairpin is 15k at AH. Why is the corral haripin 2X more than the GOld hairpin if teh gold hairpin has more MP+? I dont get it at all.

The level 40 Bastok CP item is the Iron Musketeer's Gambison: DEF: 27 Ranged Accuracy+3 Ranged Attack+3

Since I am going on a farming binge soon for upgraded equipment/get all spells.(I would rather get some stuff for upgrading the powergrinding the exp atm hehe) At lvl 45 I have 560hp/502mp Should I get 2 electrum rings? or stick with the +2 int rings that I have now?
