As for the original topic discussion, yes tarus make good RDMs. Basically, any race can make a good RDM, but they all tend to play the job a little differently. Most taru RDMs tend to stand back and cast, whereas most RDMs of other races tend to melee WHILE they cast.
As for the discussion about converting, hate, cureIV i saw..
Well, when CureIV is relatively new still, in the 40's and low 50's, yeah it draws a lot of hate. Monsters all but ignore it after level 65 though, as long as you have a halfway decent human shield. And I'm a nutjob. I convert during battle, with my sword out, in single-digit MP, if the situation seems to call for it. I don't mean "if it's an emergency situation." I mean, if I suddenly realize I don't have enough MP for the MB, hell I'll convert. I have enough faith in the tanks at my level, plus I always cast stoneskin first, sometimes phalanx too. I've never died from doing this. I've died from converting in an emergency situation before, yes, but that's usually because I didn't have stoneskin on, and I immediately started healing everyone like crazy. Which if you throw ENOUGH cureIVs, yes, the monster will notice.
