    I've set Kitten on to Campaign duty since Foobar's still got the merit PT focus for now (God what I wouldn't give to Dual Box these two, but alas, its not possible). I need to cap Wings Rank out anyway so I can move up to the Cobra Unit body whenever that arrives, hopefully in the next update.

    Snapshot is godly, no question, so going 5/5 there. I'm heavily considering dropping all Flashy Shot merits or just dropping it down to 1/5. I want to move my merits in favor of Stealth Shot

    I guess how much I merit Stealth Shot rides on how much enmity Slugwiders generate on thier own. I'll grant you there are other factors to consider on top of that, but that's a big one and I'm pretty good about watching my hate to start with.

    -50 enmity for Slugs sounds good on paper, but has my experiences have proven -enmity isn't always what its cracked up to be.

    I also think I'd like to spare at least two merits to put into Recycle. With so much space given in the update to Group 2, I can't think of a good reason to take a little advantage of that category now. 5% at least, 10% at most but certainly not intent to max out that one.

    In practice, it doesn't sound as good as the figure promised. Say you fire 3 WS in 5 minutes period, and 1 of which you use stealth shot on it.

    Let's say the CE you generated in that a slug is X, so in 5 minutes you will get 2.5X instead of 3X if you don't use stealth shot at all. To put it in percentage, that's 16.66% total enmity cut from WS point of view.
    The enmity cut is even less if you fire more WS. And on top of that, if you're not /SAM, most likely your damage can be broken to 50% dmg from shooting and 50% dmg from WS; and that bring the enmity cut to 8.33% of your total enmity.

    I personally put my 4 merit to Recycle. Sometimes it can save you from the unexpected situation. One time I went to Omega without bringing my silver bullet pouch and I only had 47 bullets. By the end of the fight I had 2-3 bullets left. If I didn't merit recycle, maybe I'll be useless on 20% of the fight.

      Hmmm. That is a good point.

      I hadn't really given much time to RNG merits since they weren't all that jaw-droppingly good as COR's and COR is more of the main between the two. I have an awesome group 2 setup there, this one remains somewhat of a headscrather after Snapshot...

        I gotta agree with VZX completely, Snapshot 5/5, Recycle 4/5 and Flashy Shot 1/5. Flashy is already dangerous enough without a lower cool down. And I gotta say I can't imagine Stealt shot ever being that helpful. If you really have so much hate that you'd need it, then just standing there and waiting about 10 seconds would put your hate back on the tank, or less usually.

        You've played long enough to where I'm sure you understand the hateline very well, but it's up to you if you wanna grab Stealth Shot.

          More Flashy is decent for the epeen factor, but what they said works best in terms of practicality. My RNG is just a mule so I prefer lots of Recycle in order to make it so my mule isn't as much of a financial liability.

            Yeah, I have to admit that COR + RNG is murder on my long term in-game financials, especially since I BST on the side and many of the premire HQ jugs are well out of my cooking and alchemy skill's reach and must be bought instead.

            Larger attention to Recycle and Snapshot may be for the best.

              More Flashy is not useful at all; At least, from all the events I'm doing.
              Full Flashy Shot merit will give you 10 minutes recast.
              We know that Flashy is especially useful for zerging, and I never had a situation where I can make use of 2nd Flashy shot in zerg situation.

                I got Stealth specifically so that I can use Flashy without dying. I also get to stack Stealth with Barrage 75% of the time.

                  I've had the top Wings rank since it was introduced @.@ (I Campaign quite a lot) so yeah... been waiting some 6-9 months now for that stupid body piece and an increase to my EXP/minute cap in battles and it's getting mighty old.


                  As for Stealth Shot seems like a waste to me to be perfectly honest. It's not like DRK's muted soul where a lv 5 modification will see a huge difference since you'll likely be landing multiple hits for big damage.

                  Since +/- enmity is actually a straight modification and not a percentage, you're really not going to see a whole lot of benefit on one of the game's most powerful weapon skills. You'd be better off with 5/5 Recycle to cut down on expenses IMO.
