      If this can get done by midnight, then I'll definitely hop on and play with rng a bit.

      I guess for now, I'll play some Company of Heroes to kill some time.

        Ok I havent posted here in a while but I've been reading the boards here quite often while at work. Anywho I just got on to do a quick test on our new Velocity Shot ability. Since it still seem some of you are wondering the effects and duration of the ability I'll post a screenshot or two here of the damage with Velocity Shot enabled and without.

        Both shots are as followed:

        Taru Male: Cummy 61RNG/30NIN
        Hunter's beret
        Hunter's Jerkin
        Chivalrous Chain
        2x Drone Earrings
        Selene's Bow
        Ammo: PPA
        Rajas Ring
        Puissance ring
        2x Hawker's knife
        Amemet mantle
        Royal Knights belt +1
        Jaridah bazubands
        Jaridah nails
        Hunters' braccae

        Without Velocity Shot >> Sidewinder for 1864


        With Velocity Shot >> Sidewinder for 2340


        Regular ranged attacks with Demon arrows were landing 400-410 w/o VS. With VS was roughly 460-480. Crits were upwards of 530ish. Every shot here was done on TW Goblins in Rolanberry.

        Whilst prolly not the best test and l33t gear it still shows the difference. Velocity Shot is also a 5 min recast but it remains active throughout the ENTIRE cooldown which means as long as you keep mashing that macro, it will never be down! /methinks RNG is back.

        Since I havent posted much here it might not allw me to post the links to the image. If so Caspian can you edit them in there for me?

          So SE fixes RNG and assrapes 2 handers? Nice trade off - _ -' (not that I'm not happy about RNG fix, this is exactly what was needed but WTF?! They can never leave well enough alone)

            I will say this, if anyone demands to nerf RNG again I will personally shoot you in the face with a furry of Barrages and Sidewinders and throwing in a couple of EES. It's about time we got our damage back and I don't want to hear anyone whining about it!

              So, early testing looks like 20% dmg (or maybe atk, unsure what the poster meant on KI) increase and and pretty sick haste. Yeah, I have a feeling this won't last. I'm sure SE will realize they overdid it and slam us back to reality quite soon. Just hope I can finish this update and try it out before then.

                Just got out of a small meripo at Mamool Ja Staging Point. This is almost like Berserk for rangers. Without VS, Mamools would take ~120 or ~160 (depending on RDM casting Dia III) and, with VS, ~145 or ~190. That increase is more or less what I get from something like sis kebabi and around what I get from Berserk. I couldn't get any reliable stats for Sidewinder, but I was consistently doing 900-1000 on IT Mamool Ja, whereas I used to do ~800. With Dia III, I was getting about 1200.

                On Sea Puks, I'd do up to 1400 at melee range. I think I got 1600 at one point... I should've reinstalled a parser. For a few battles, my normal shots would be up to 290, which reminds me of my old Berserk+minuet days in the 60s.

                This was all with Selene's Bow, Demon arrow (kabura for WS), and sis kebabi. It was pretty rockin'. I was with a DRG, and we were pretty even on WS damage when he got a full Penta Thrust. We WSed at the same time once - he got 1402, I got 1406.

                I didn't notice too much in terms of haste, though I swear the delay between shots is reduced (that is, the delay between firing the arrow and initiating a new attack). But my mind might be playing tricks on me.

                    15% ranged haste and 15% melee slow
                    Also my test agree it gives about 20% pDIF bonus

                    It'd be good if they add a few more addition to snapshot/Velocity shot increment. If that happens, I think RNG get balanced haste compared to melee

                        First thing I did when I logged in was to run into a live beseiged with my lvl 75 RNG/NIN (albeit with all my ENM30 gear on) and try Velocity shot.

                        I couldn't really tell the dmg difference cos all my gear was well under spec for lvl 75 but man I could really tell the r.att haste. Nice to know its 15%, plus I just spent 5 more merits to cap my snapshot.

                        The only real problem is now it will cost me more to play RNG since I'll be chucking in more arrows per mob in a party. Saying that, I was usually on the hate borderline before velocity shot with /NIN, so maybe I'll have to hold back or just get the PLD to work a little harder

                            I was very, very pleased with Velocity Shot last night, did a RNG and DRG PT in Thickets, I placed 2nd in WS damage in the PT. We had a osode RNG dropping 2.8k Slug Shots tops, my highest was around 2.3k Sidewinder on Greater Colibri. Has Minuet x2 + Chaos Roll and snuck in some Yellow Curry, which I didn't lose for half the PT.

                            I went /NIN, which I usually detest doing, but since this was my first semi-arrowburn PT, I decided to humor them. That said, I'm going back to Marid Arrows, I went through too many Kabura for my liking last night.

                            Played around with /WAR against Mamool in Besieged last night, did about 1.5k tops on the NMs in that fight.

                              This is no way close to 2hander update or old day RNG

                              No level correction was broken when it comes to HNM. They introduced level correction, fair enough. They overdid the distance correction.
                              Then distance correction was toned down, but not enough to bring RNG on par with other melee DD, where they start getting their haste equipment more easily now.
                              Now Velocity shot will bring RNG almost on par with other DD with the same quality

                                This update is just wow, sadly like everything s-e gives that is of this use will get nerfed (;_; ). Relic bow was hitting so freaking hard was nice to see even if the kid who has it is a douche,
