Re: What's better for RNG gloves?

Ahh misread, my bad. At the same time I'm not sure about the comparison, since I personally WS in Osode and would take that over any other option, meanwhile there's not an Osode-ish option in the hands.
    second and yeah i ment s-kote -_-

Re: What's better for RNG gloves?

I primarily use gun and have +15 marks merits. Since I have enough accruacy to slap God around, I use CFG explicitly.

The only time I ever switched to SK was when we were fighting mamools at 75 meripo and I didn't eat sushi, but ate meat (rabbit pie i believe) and when they evasion boost, it really sux.

I don't think in terms of damage +15agl on marks wins out over +10ratt, when considering dmg on tp/ws, rather, I haven't noticed a change in damage between CFG and SK. Ratt always performs better than adding agl from what i've seen by equipping other different items with the two stats. I get more bang for my buck with ratt.

Should I add that with the new armors from ACP, Mirke Wardecors can trump any body piece now? XD

Super necro on this post, but oh well:

Notwithstanding dragon/demon intimidation details (which have already been discussed), being intimidated is simply not a problem for RNG. Ranged attacks/WS and JAs cannot be intimidated, and every other action that a RNG would take would be on himself (e.g. utsusemi).

I've had spells cancel on me in campaign battle against the Moonfang Warriors but maybe that was just lag? All I know is I hit my macro, saw the casting bar and nothing happened >_>

If you're talking about casting on yourself, unless you have some +Dragon Killer gear (or are subbing DRG), you cannot intimidate yourself while wearing crimson gear.

No, I was trying to paralyze the Moonfang warrior and I got intimidated.

Re: What's better for RNG gloves?

That's pretty irrelevant to Dan's point though. Besides Barrage and Shadowbind, pretty much none of RNG's actions can be intimidated since /ra and /ws can't be intimidated at all and Utsusemi/Sharpshot/etc don't target the mob.

JAs can't be intimidated either, so Shadowbind and EES are fine (Barrage is self target JA followed by /ra).

Re: What's better for RNG gloves?

Feel the need to point this out so there's no misunderstanding: Killer Effects are akin to gaze attacks in that in order for them to work, you must be in the main line-of-sight for the possessor of the trait to even get intimidation effect. Gnoles are just an exception to the rule.

This is why I love my Gothic Gauntlets and Sabatons so much when I take hate on BST and try to adhere as close to the beast wheel as I can. If I can proc paralyze with that gear, then any killer effect proc that goes off from me or my pet is a bonus and helps overall survivability. I might be able to put shadows on myself but my pets aren't so lucky, I wouldn't really even get benefits from Gothic if I /NINed anyway.

Back to RNG. Yes, intimidation won't stop the arrow already pulled or stop a JA, but it can stall you in between shots and that's annoying. I just slap on the kotes anyway since +10 Ranged attack isn't going to mean diddly to a god or HNM

How is this falsifiable? If Gnoles don't count, and Gration doesn't count, then how could this theory even be disproven?

Stall what? A melee round? I don't understand what you mean.

You can still get intimidated and that will delay your next ranged attack. It won't cancel a current shot but it can still slow you down a bit.
