  • Skilling up: on my own, in party, or skillup party?

Right now I'm a lv21 Ranger...with a level 34 Archery. I started 21 with 25 on archery, Marksmanship is near cap. I've noticed people making HUGE damage with a bow, compared to my weeny crossbow. I mean, I was in a party with another Ranger who used a bow, and he DOUBLED my damage output on a bow. So I'm ashamed, and want to take up archery.

So, I was wondering HOW exactly should I go about leveling this up? So far I've tried Maze of Shakramhi, which works well. Then an XP party in qufim, where I'd get a .4-.5 increase if I get one, but I'd hit for crap. I've never done a skillup party, so anyone know how I go about making one?

A skillup party at level 21 is highly unlikely. The reason you're doing so poorly against these worms is that Archery 34 means you're effectively attacking the worms as if you were level 12. I suggest you go to Maze of Shakrami and skill up a bit there, then Korroloka Tunnel, on worms. They're pretty tame if you sub WHM and keep Barstone up.

Yea, no one will really make a skill up party at 21. The best thing you can do is what LoneGamer has said. Just take your bow and head out and shoot some worms. Korrokola Tunnel seems about right, if not Maze or Qufim. Just dont rush anything and make sure you run.

You'll skill up in no time.

Even using a Shortbow for the lower Delay and Damage will help your skill up.

Your damage may have to do with the XBow and Bolts you were using compared to the other RNGs. Are you using an HQ bow? Was he using an HQ bow? What was his other gear? etc are all questions you need to ask yourself if someone is outdamaging you that much.
