  • Marid arrow

When the ToAU update came into place, I didn't pay much attention to the new Marid arrow, as I assumed it would be another dissapointment along the lines of gold arrows. However, I was looking at ammo prices on the AH, and saw that they were 5k a stack! Granted, none had been sold since May, but come on, 5k! When you consider that these are the second most damaging arrows in the game (Kabura still hit harder, although not by a lot) then it becomes apparent that for 5k a stack, these would be awesome to build TP with, only switching to the much more expensive Kabura arrows for WS and Barrage.

However, I went to check the ingredients for these bad boys and met dissapointment as I discovered that the lumber alone is a whopping 30k a stack (I believe the arrowheads were extremely cheap, about 30K a stack) and that a stack of the fletchings used in the synth had never even sold on the Jeuno AH.

So, I'm confused. What's the deal with these arrows? I can't say I've ever seen anyone using them, and like I said, none have sold since May. Plus, I fail to see how someone could afford to sell these at 5k a stack and still turn a profit.

    Re: Marid arrow

well as a side note. Scorpion arrows have a +5 RACC. as do Demon Arrows. Plus Demon Arrows weaken a mobs attack. And lastly Kabura Arrows offer +3 RACC and silence effect.

sooo...I see no real reason to use them let alone craft unless it's an attempt to get to a higher level of crafting with minimal expense, but you have pointed out the cost of the lumber, and other supplies. So why bother with them.
