ARG! This Sucks. :-/

Well, after two weeks of depressing incidents, I've decided to put off RNG for a while. These include:

1) Losing TWO PPA's... I never lost even one before, but lag screwed up my macros, and unlimited shot wasn't there for my SWs.
-Causes me to do less dmg every SW
-Cost me 36k CP

2) Being lectured BY A WHM about my gear (which, btw, isn't half bad. Sure, I don't have the +1 amemit's, and my hawker's knife isn't HQ, but I was using selene's bow, yellow curry--brd in pt-- and doing the most dmg out of everyone in the PT!)

3) Harrassed when trying to get an empress pin by a #$!%*# jerk who would hold a fly for a half hour or more on purpose just because there were people looking for the pin.

4) Harrassed by another $^&@!#$er while levelling WAR (possible sub for rng) in qufim. He would kill all the surrounding mobs in 1-2 hits with his 66 SAM and laugh at us b/c we weren't able to XP.

So, I'm going to stop levelling RNG right now. I need CP to get another PPA, and I need to make sure my internet is stable so I won't lose another. So, here's my dilema:

I'm sure a bunch of you play RNG cause it's a fun job where you're always doing something. Same reason I liked playing BRD. I can't just hit the ctrl+a and sit back; it makes me frusterated. I'm not a great tank; I'm much better at watching that I DON'T accrue too much hate. I'm sure PLD is fun and all, but I really don't want to take that job. What advice would you give someone who wants to play a job where she'll be busy while PTing, but not a tank?

RDM, all the way. It's an excellant support job, you will never have a problem finding a party, and once you hit level 40, you will have refresh, which will keep you plenty busy during a party.

If you're really channelling the Energizer Bunny, try levelling as RDM/BRD. Never a spare moment - I don't think I get more than 20 seconds of "spare" time per fight.

that's against the ToS. You can seriously call GM on that guy. Also those people killing monsters to prevent you from EXP on purpose.

And there's 2 place holders for emperor by the way. so holding just 1 won't prevent it from popping.

I DID call a GM, and the GM said that unless he did ZERO damage (by just voking), he wouldn't do a damned thing. IE, since the guy hit it 3 times in a half hour, the GM wouldn't stop him from taking it.

EDIT: Sorry, almost forgot... Thanks for the advice guys. I'm levelling up whm now for a sub for rdm (first time I ever levelled a job was WAR, and I hated it, so I went rdm/war till 30... <.<;;; )

Try a THF or COR. They got a lot of stuff to do, and can be fun if you stick with it. Sorry to hear about the crap you took. THat just plain sucks.

You want a busy job? RDM all the way. I see you have RDM29, but it really peaks post 40. Seriously, you won't have a second to spare. There is always something that needs doing, whether support or offense you play all the roles. Take red mage past 40, and I hope you can keep up with the action ^^

Thanks for the great advice and encouragment, guys. Yesterday, my own LS mate was harrassing me about my equips not being "top-notch," so your comments really helped. I actually hate whm... I'm trying to level BLM to sub for RDM. I'm a support or damage dealer sort of player... I don't do well in the roles that determine if the PT lives or dies, especially with my internet being so sketchy... <.<;;
