  • Test: Bloody Bolt damage when user is at full HP

Found another test I did that proves that Bloody Bolts' HP drain still takes full effect, even when you're already at full HP:

    Example:
Killed an Evil Weapon in Sauromugue with Repeating Crossbow + Bloody Bolts (at full life, no damage taken). Evil Weapon dies after 916 damage.

Killed another Evil Weapon with Repeating Crossbow + Crossbow Bolts. Evil Weapon dies after 1507 damage.

Sure, there may be some level variance, but it's not going to give one weapon nearly twice the HP of the other. And what's more, could one of those weapons really have only 916 total HP? That's just out of the question.

    Thanks Dan.
Btw, did you ever find if there is a stat that does indeed affect drain affect on them?

Haven't gotten around to testing it yet. I'm still trying to conceptualize how to execute such a test; I need to fight mobs strong enough not to get one-shotted, yet weak enough that a 10-20 point shift in the stat being tested for (probably either VIT or INT) makes a noticeable difference.

I also need some way to remove a lot of my own HP as quickly as possible. I hesitate to do it through fighting, as weaker mobs will take forever and stronger mobs could kill me if I miss a few bolts.

You could try items with +hp. Or items with -hp & take off the -HP item to test.

              That's good to know ^^

Souleater and a quick weapon could be used to remove your HP, if you have DRK levelled. Looking forward to your test results.
