kote vs gauntlets/ str vs agi

ive tested both, but only on kirin lol ><

and from results on kirin, ya i did do a little bit more on regular hits with w hands vs kote but really not much. I dont remember the exact numbers but i did about 3-5 more points of dmg with crimson. (remember this is only vs kirin)

but on ws (slug shot) i did a lot more per slug. maybe 100-150 more dmg with kote then crimson.

and the STR and AGI arguement, if you test it yourself you will notice there is a difference hit per hit and weapon skills if you add STR gear on. I did the most damage ive ever done with slug on kirin, with STR & AGI gear on vs AGI & accuracy gear. i believe about 770-780 on kirin.

According to the damage formula, the maximum possible increase that S.Kote's 15 AGI can add to Slug Shot is 49 damage.

int(AGI * 0.30) = int(15 * 0.30) = int(4.5) = 4
4 * Alpha (@LV75) = 4 * 0.83 = 3.32
3.32 * TP mod * your RATK/mob DEF = 3.32 * 5 * 3 (capped) = 49.8

And that would be against mobs for which your RATK/mob DEF is capped at 3; i.e. Easy Prey or lower. Against gods, you can expect to be seeing somewhere between 10-25 damage increase (depending on your RATK).

So if you are seeing "100-150" damage increase, you are seeing the random damage variance of Slug Shot, not a real increase from one piece of equipment.
