      hmm thx all...

      overall:
      agi= critical range attack
      str = range attack damage

      dost ATTK == ? has any effect?

      the amenet mantle +1 has ATTACK +15
      the fenrir earring has ATTACK +10 during daytime

      STR and ATTK = range damage?

          ive tested both, but only on kirin lol ><

          and from results on kirin, ya i did do a little bit more on regular hits with w hands vs kote but really not much. I dont remember the exact numbers but i did about 3-5 more points of dmg with crimson. (remember this is only vs kirin) sometimes i did less tho...not sure if it was due to kirin buffs?...i dont think he has any buffs but the numbers were random...most of the time about3-5 points more

          but on ws (slug shot) i did a lot more per slug. maybe 100-150 more dmg with kote then crimson.

          and the STR and AGI arguement, if you test it yourself you will notice there is a difference hit per hit and weapon skills if you add STR gear on. I did the most damage ive ever done with slug on kirin, with STR & AGI gear on vs AGI & accuracy gear. i believe about 770-780 on kirin.

            the Constant dmg factor in the dmg equation is your STR relative to the VIT of the mob. So having more STR is always beneficial and will increase both your normal melee, range, and weaponskill dmg. Then there's the final multiplier factor for weaponskill which varies for each one but for Ranger its mainly AGI for marksmanship and AGI + STR for Archery. In XP Parties i wear as much Strength gear as i can in place of Accuracy gear. Woodville axe, Str rings, auditory torque (when in pt with bard), and wyvern helment. I dont miss slug shots anymore then i normally would but the damage difference quite noticable. For HNM/Gods I put the accuracy gear back on.

            Idealy Crimson would be best off for normal shots and swapping to Seiryu for Weaponskills. However, i'll be the first to admit thats a pain in the butt. I have both and i have to say that Seiryu Kotes > Crimson IMO. I still have my crimson but hardly ever put them on anymore.

                i have both. tested on phantom worm and i actually do more dmg with seiryu kote. Now i regret taking the gloves from the drk and rdms orz. I tried bullets, holy bolts, slugshot, acid. end result is seiryu kote does more dmg.

                  Crimson set makes you type-> dragon.

                  Beware of situations when that will get you intimidated effect.

                  It'f funny when it happens but quickly becomes annoying.

                    RATK+10 will increase your WS damage more than AGI+15 (a 75RNG on alla tested it and provided logs, but I don't have the link and their search blows).

                    If AGI affects ranged crits, then why isn't RNG (who has more AGI than any non-THF has DEX) blowing every non-THF job away in crit rate?

                    The only official word from Squenix on the matter is that AGI lowers the rate of critical hits received (i.e. improves crit defense).

                        Anything: Mob or Teamate which has dragon killer(such as if your teamate has a demon earring on or any other pieces of equipment that "enhances dragon killer", is a DRG as there main/sub job, or a dragoon type mob) can and will intimidate you.

                        Funny to always see some RDM with crimson gear on, get intimidated by the tank in your PT. Heh

                              I don't really see how that can happen, especially since agi does nothing for normal shots and phantom worm should be weak enough that rattk would factor into rounding out the curve a lot, not to mention rattk+10 would do a lot more damage than kote's +15 agi for phantom worm.
