Should I dual wield at level 20?

Hello all, Elvaan rng here. I've gotten ranger up to 21 on a different character, but due to IRL stuff I quit for 5 months. I'm back, and was wondering about going Rng/Nin at level 20. I was thinking of either-

*Dual-wielding 2 Beestingers until 28, then going hawkers (yes, I want the best for my ranger).

*Dual-wielding 2 Battleaxes (level 20 1haxe) until 28, then going with 2 hawkers knives.

I say 2 Battleaxes because they seemed to do some nice damage output when I was leveling 1haxe/shield with my war. I thought of the 2 beestingers because it would be +2 AGI, since I need all the AGI I can get.


---I was wondering, are either of those options worth sacrificing the benefits of a War sub? I wouldn't have beserk yet, mainly provke and a defense bonus (I think). Your info would be greatly appreciated.

You can't dual wield two Beestingers, as they're Rare. Hawkers are also lv30, not 28. I only used NIN sub at 24, when I got Utsusemi. Using axes until you can equip Archers is perfectly fine however. I dual wieled a Beestinger in the offhand, and the best axe I find in main hand from 24 to 28.

Ahh, thanks for the info.

EDIT: Do you think that dual wielding at lvl 20 will be a good idea, or would I miss out on too much good stuff if I don't have a war sub? What would the good stuff be?

iirc, at lv.20 the difference between /war and /nin was +1str for war, and +1agi for nin. So it basically doesn't matter. I did /nin and off-handed a beestinger. i can't recall what i wore in my main hand.
