Bow, Boomerang, Crossbow or Gun?

Which do you prefer? And why?
Personally, I'd choose gun. Next would come crossbow, bow and then last and most certainly least, Boomerang. Why you ask?
Because I'm just more of a gun person, Used to being a bowgunner on Monster Hunter. and guns are just my preference because I'd rather use them then *any* type of bow.

terrible in an exp party since you there are ZERO throwing ws in the game.

the main reason why rngs would want to keep throwing skilled up is unlimited shot + (anti-god) wind when you fight god's in ru'aun

Gun on an average would do 120 dmg, and the same lvl bow would do around 70-80. Gun is a lot more expensive lol but as long as you have money running out of your ears your fine ^^ *and you get SlugShot at higher lvl 50+*

1. gun- the dmg is not comparable, many use the delay as an issue but 60 more delay then a bow isnt that bad, and if you have the +2 its only 40....not to mention huge life/chain saving slugshots.

2. bow- fast enough dmg that the mob wont be spitting up wss every few moments, and ammo is pretty cheap, by far the cheapest route to go and arguably the 2nd most powerfull.

3. xbows- i dont like xbows, def down doesnt stick 100% of the time (and it shouldnt) the xbows make an annoying sound, they look hideous, and you have to carry around twice as much ammo as the other weapons.


I really love the gun, not only does it give you +10 ranged accuracy...(allowing you to wear rng JSE past Af if you want) but that extra rng acc. means more slug hits and more big barrage damages.

1k on bats in cape terry for barrage is insane.

After lvl 60+ Guns seriously PWN bows by sooo much..O_O

As a cost effective Ranger (Money isn't that much of an issue, since i can make the stack silver pretty cheap around 4k depending on my lazyness) i prefere Bow and X-Bow over Gun. Since i do most of the time random partys i don't feel to spend much money on random partys

I might try out again Gun when i hit 55 or higher, but i think i'll still use more Bow. Since for me Bow has more style then a Gun

I think you'll change your mind about x-bows at lvl 67 when you get o-bow
