I have a couple of RNG questions...

ok the last 2 nights now i have been in a party with the same mithra (ima mithra too) who uses ebow while i use must+1 and silver bullets)


BUT!!! he was /war so i dunno if maybe thats why he was doing more damage, and we had a bard so no1 was really missing all that much.

w/ berserk up and hunter's prelude and valorIII his slugs were doing 1064, to my slugs of 984

Dan's response is totally true. Therefore I had about 9ish more RNG ACC than snake I guess? (1 level = 5 skill = 5*0.9 = ~5 acc, and +4 I think from peacock?) Sorry, numbers escape me because I haven't played the game in a while. The +RNG atk from the extra level is negated by the fact he has some +rng atk I don't in his ranger's necklace.

This will account for my higher barrages, but my higher WS damage mostly can be attributed to US + PPA.

Keep in mind my normal ranged damage was 33.1% higher than snake's, and my WS damage was 40.6% higher than his. If you, the reader, decide to associate that dramatic increase with +8 rng acc, that is entirely your call. But in that case, why aren't more people clamoring for Peacock Charm over Ranger's Necklace? Because if you parse someone with similar gear + rng necklace and someone else with peacock charm, the difference on IT's (not IT++, since we had no ninja in that party we weren't fighting IT++) is almost insignificant.

But like I said my parse isn't foolproof... but neither is the other parse Dan cites which is supposedly more "balanced." That's not foolproof either. Suffice to say, in my experiences e-bow + PPA and demon arrows outdamaged gun + s. bullets spamming by far.. but two points:
1) This isn't much cheaper really... demon arrows aren't that much cheaper than silver bullets.
2) I stated in my original thread that I think this may change 70+ with access to hellfire (and thus 100% TP barrages). However, this may change once again at 75 when we can get 100% TP barrage from e-bow (we get another hit for barrage at 75).

ERRR maybe i jumped the gun, just heard it from a bunch of people in my LS, and someone on the titan boards posted a thread called everything stolen in witch they talk about a friend dropping all their stuff, this topic just got brought up.

that was a while back when someone hijacked the link for the log parser and put in a key logger. The original author of the log parser made an announcement about it a while back.

basically, if you get the log parser off the Official site, then you are fine.

i'm on the P'2, so i cant get those anyway, but i was trying to get one of the rngs in my semi static to DL it and log para our fights because all four of us at one point or another ASSume we are doing the most damage.

I have a feeling the ebow rng/war is gonna come out on top....i know i beat the hume because we use the same weapon and i hit for more per hit then him, the taru uses an xbow, so it would be very interesting to see where he comes in, he also uses a gun sometimes, so i really want one of these guys to log para our fights.

I guess they were trying to shut me up by telling me that yea you can actually have your account stolen...lol losers wait till i get on tonight.....lol

As neighbortaru said, the "account stealing" and such was done to people who used a modified FFXI parser (which apparently had a keylogger). The one I got from the official site is fine (apparently, they didn't steal any of my stuff :p). Parsing with the program is easy and entertaining, although I wish I could use FFRep instead.

Besides, I gave away all my gear, I don't care if someone hacks my account now.

i fully plan to give away 2 mil (wut someone gave me when they quit) and then quit with all my stuff....

me and my in game friends are not big fans of handouts.....when i got that 2 mil i gave majority of it away to LS mates to help them catch up to some of the higher levels a lil bit easier...

i did buy myself one item, i wont say i didnt want to keep it all, but it feels good knowing you got an uber item without someone just handing you the means to get it.
