Pulling with Gun?

I used yesterday my new Gun, impressive dmg vs. crawlers. But with the Delay of 660 it's nearly impossible to pull in time before some other guy steals your targeted mob.

How do you pull? Are you using Ninjutsu? Switching to X-Bow? Boomerang with TP reset?

I don't want to pull... with gun that is. But NA PT seems to believe that RANGER >>> Puller somehow, even when there is a thief in the party. On camp spot where rivals are plenty, I usualy hit with the knife. Although I cannot beat provoke, its faster than shooting.

i dont have much of a problem with it. if im competing for pulls i use shadowbind, gets the job done.

Shadowbind is a lv40 skill and has a cooldown time of 5min. At the moment i'm 36 and we kill the mob in around 1 to 2 min

And one thing which makes a ranger a good puller is Widescan. In camped areas neat to keep the Exp chain up.

Last night i was pting in Crawlers nest at the secret room. I was the puller and i pulled just fine with my battle bow. Widescan helped so much because there were other pts xping on Solider crawlers. It was also helpful because i could find and avoid all the exorays.

Just pull with the gun. If you're having problem keeping chains because of the long delay, leave earlier and go grab the next mob faster than you normally would.

maybe i was lucky but i didnt have any problems competing pre-shadowbind...my pt kills mobs in a minute or less, but the cooldown on shadowbind doesnt bother me. if youre competing against a standard pt and already killing 3 or 4 mobs for every 1 they kill, and nab a few ruthlessly with shadowbind, it should be enough to discourage competition;;

Maybe its just me cause i lvld THF to 61 before doing RNG but i dont use Wide Scan... 1 because i know where the spawns are and how to dodge aggro... if you cant avoid aggro w/o wide scan then you shouldnt pull. 2 because whenever i did spend time to widescan and go to the mob it was taken when i got there.

Pulling with thf was easier w/ Flee and a low delay bow/boomerang. With RNG i still dont have much problem though, just takes a little longer to get back to camp from the time you left.
