Shigeto Bow+1 or Eurytos' Bow

Recently I sold my E-bow to pay someone off but now I got the money back and I notice that a Shigeto Bow+1 is on sale at the Auction House.

The stats on this are very nice but after the last patch they say STR is more important..

So I am thinking what should I waste my gil on?

I really don't like Othinus' I got sick of using it after 2 weeks cause of the all the bolt switch offs.

Any advice ~_~?

What are you fighting Stanislav? Since you're 75 already, you're talking about HNM right? I'm not entirely sure how damage, rng atk, str and all that contribute to something with huge defense and vit like HNMs, but as an example:

Last night when fighting Kirin, I lent a friend my e-bow (since I was using PLD). He noted that between e-bow and m.c. bow, the m.c. bow did more damage :sweat: M.c. bow basically has more base damage (77 compared to 71) but e-bow has more rng atk and base stats (+3 str and +23 rng atk compared to... nothing). From these results it seems base damage is more important on Kirin at least, so Shigeto+1 (which has 5 more base dmg than e-bow and only 1 less than m.c.) is probably the best case.

But don't most RNG use hellfire/hellfire+1 on HNM anyway?

On hnm, i don't think ranged attack makes any difference at all. Get a bard to minuet you, and you'll see. Same damage before & after.

I would use a hellfire but I die enough as it is...
Plus our linkshell has 9 rangers, I am one of the main ones but with that many rangers there is really no reason to use it on Kirin.

Kirin is a weak piece of shit along with the other gods and its not worth the money to use it on them.

On the other hand I am sure that It is good to use it on ground HNM.

I would go with Shigeto Bow but I bid 3.5mil on it and still hasn't sold, I dont think i want to spend more then that on it.. It was 3mil on Siren and not selling for 3.5 here so I will just wait for it to drop or I will get E-bow. The advice has been helpful.

I have another question, Should I use Byakko's Haidate or RNG AF2 legs?

The AF legs have nice accuracy but its only +7 I am thinkign 15 more DEX for crits and 5 Haste for Utusemi and and semi faster shooting is better..

Jesus! I might be mistaken, but I'm quite confident 3.5 million is a gigantic ripoff, unless you're talking specifically about the HQ bow.

The ranger in my static had a friend of his craft this bow and it cost him, including ingredients, around 120k gil.

Are you 100% sure that the +haste affects the shooting speed delay?

The spell 'haste' has no effect, I don't imagine haidite make any differance at all.

Any ranger who isn't reaching their maximum potential isn't doing a good enough job in my eyes. My linkshell has 8 rangers in total, doesn't stop me from using the best that I can.

Kirin is 2 stacks of silver bullets (45 minute fight).. hardly expensive.

pretty sure the haidate does nothing to shooting speed. only rng in my ls that wears one, wears it for the crits and slightly decreased utsu recast time. and i agree with the bullets statement...youve gotta be kidding if youre not willing to spend money on silvers...

2 stacks? you miss a lot or something? lol 1 stack is enough for a 40min fight

for mobs without sixbillion def, Ebow, with and you want to use a bow, MCbow.

When tanking byakko hediate(+5% haste is worthless unless you are), when not tanking, AF2 or Dusktrousers.
