Fully leveld sub?

im a lvl 21 RNG and just about reaching the cap for my ninjas lvl (12) just waiting for my time to get to lvl 60 to get samurai under ranger anyways... so if im a lvl 50 RNG/12NIN is it still better than 50rng/25thf? because i really hate that ninjas are classified as tanks after lvl 12 (different problem altogether) so i dont level it, any advice/opinions?

and btw yes im sure this is been asked in a related topic but still just answer me and dont tell me "if you looked down 30 pages youd see this topic already there"

i was searching through the AF and noticed that RNG AF has +5 to mind and +3 to INT....now my first reaction was WTF???!?!?!!! is there a reason to this?????

If you have Utsusemi (and shihei) you might be able to get away with that for awhile, maybe 40 at the highest. But if you expect to get RNG very high, level NIN, maybe WAR (but /NIN will keep you safe and accurate).

About NINs being considered tanks, oh well. NINs aren't that great of DoT until the higher Dual Wield upgrades and even then they suck as SC closers since they're cursed with relatively low damage WSs. At that level there really isn't much for NINs except a relatively low variety of status debuffs (although powerful debuffs), Utsusemi, Shurikens, and elemental debuffs (good if you have a couple BLMs but probably nothing I would jump at). If you want to try to be a DD Shurikens will probably be your best bet once you get them but they'll cost more than blink tanking.

And yes, don't sub THF in an xp party.

don't sub sam on a rng. war/nin are much better alternatives.

and yes, get your subs up to date. Having severely underleveled subs usually shows you don't care.

fact is tho i do care...i just hate tanking...thats why i took thief to lvl 30 instead of the monk or warrior, monk because i didnt want the easy way out and warrior cuz i dont want to tank...bah im rambling...im taking sam at 60 for WS spams but getting to 60 is the problem

Bite the bullet and do NIN/war until 22. Then NIN/rng with guns until 37.

I understand your sentiment. I hate tanking as well. However my job choices pretty much force me to do some tank work.

I need a Lv.35 or higher WAR for my DRK. I need about a Lv.25 or higher NIN for THF and RNG work down the line. I've leveled WAR to Lv.20, I hate it, but turns out I'm actually decently good at it. I also hate playing WHM, but I need it to sub for RDM in the future.

Sometimes we're forced to level jobs we dislike for the jobs we love. For RNG, fully leveled WAR and NIN jobs will help land you more parties.

Yes lets "spam" WS on an already hate-grabbing class so we can die more/faster... Plus the TP from Med has been nerfed for a while, as a sub anyway. You only get 60? TP back from it.

All i have to say is, be prepared to die/wait for PTs/have PTsask to change your sub.

bite the bullet and take nin to 37 like everyone else... i hated tanking on nin but i still got it to 37.

ironically, tanking at lvl 37 becomes kind of fun because of utsusemi-ni. :spin:
