Worm's Turn BCNM

I did a search and the only other thread I can find on the subject ended over a year ago and I know that they patched worms making them harder for rangers and mages.
Question is I've heard this is still a great bcnm40 for a blm/rng pt. Has anyone had experience on something like this and care the share the ins and outs of it as well as how easy it was for you. Is it easier than the mandy bcnm? Is it more lucrative? Once I get ninja lvl'd I'm making a beeline on lvling rng and gonna do some bcnm's.

Easy stuff. I'll give a general layout. /war is really a better getup for this BCNM, as you won't be getting hit if you're doing it right.

Party is: Tank, 2 blm (minimum), whm, 2 ranged attackers

Buff up, line up outside circle, sneak paladin. Tank goes in, and jumps the NM in the circle. Blm's do sleepga rotation. Everyone else stands outside and unloads on the NM. This is where you win or lose this fight. If the NM dies, you win. If your tank dies, you'll probably lose as you get tractored one by one into the pit of doom.

NM dead, get tank out of center of circle. Commence unloading from outside of circle (They can't cast on you if you range yourself properly :p) Collect loot & rejoice.

I've had good runs from both BC's. The one thing this one drops that I haven't seen from the mandy is an eris earring, which is worth some good cash.

Whoops. It's nemisis earrings, not eris. They're used in making eris tho.

Not arrange Worm spell casting range in this BC is stupid, so if you give yourself the proper distance, you can snipe at leisure. the problem is, if the NM isn't dead, he tractors you in and you get reamed by everything around.

Good to know they didnt nerf pc ranged vs. npc ranged distances. Guess I should hurry up and lvl to 40 before they figure that out and DO patch it.

Yeah, it's kinda goofy. Even PC spell ranges are longer than their cast range.

Blm is still a superior ranged attacker in this BC though due to the larger number of enemies you have to engage. -Ga spells utterly ream the stuff in large numbers.

My linkshell has done over 100 fights of that BCNM. I have a video of one of our battles where we broke the record but no where to host it. It's a pretty damn big file too because I'm a stickler for quality and don't feel like compressing it too much But if I ever find a host or get comcast stuff working, I'll post a link to it here.

Let me know if you do, Id love to watch it and even study it. I know several rangers and black mages and would love to do this BCNM instead of the mandy one since its easier for rng's and blm's. Thanks for all the info though, this'll really help out my planning.

I been trying to get my LS ready for this for awhile but we dont have much rngs besides me and 2 other lvl 30s. I'll try to snag up some BLM's and maybe SmNs cause thats pretty much the ranged attackers we got, everyone else is thf's wars and drks
