    yeah i did some digging and found this by Seishi

    Here's what I'm doing with CP Arrows from San (40k CP cuz I'm Bastokan)

    Anyway, here's the macro:

    /equip ammo "<San CP Arrow name>"
    /wait 1
    /ja Unlimited Shot <me>
    /wait 1
    /equip ammo "Scorpion Arrows" <-my regular arrows when EXP.

    My question is for the CP Arrows to be dupe...do I need to have it in the ammo slot when I'm shooting or doing Sidewinder with the duped CP arrow?

    Cuz with my macro, I just switch to CP arrow, dupe it then switch back to regular arrow, I dunno if the duped arrow is the CP or regular arrow.

    ok, but how do you do this with sidewinder or arching arrow. i dont wana lose my windy CP arrow when i get to 60.just hit 55 and i really have not used it. srry if i did not find it i did a search for "unlimited shot macro" barly anything.. thanks a lot

    You need two macros for it to work. Or maybe not... Depends on how many macro lines you can have. I think 5? maybe 6.

    /equip Ammo "CP arrow"
    /ja "Unlimited Shot" <me>
    /wait 1
    /ws "Sidewinder" <t>
    /wait 1
    /equip Ammo "Scorpion Arrow"


    You may not need the last /wait after sidewinder. Depends on your situation with lag. What your macro would do right now is equip a CP arrow, use unlimited shot, and then equip a scorpion arrow using the scorpion arrow in sidewinder, not your CP arrow.

      I have three relevant macros.

      The first is my standard (non-Unl.Shot) Sidewinder macro:

      /party blah blah here comes WS
      /equip Ammo "Scorpion Arrow"
      /wait 1
      /ws "Sidewinder" <t>

      That makes sure that any time I'm in doubt on JA status, I hit that macro, and I'm almost totally safe.

      The second relevant macro is my Unlimited Shot macro (I don't have CP arrow yet, so I've been practicing with a Fire Arrow):

      /echo Unlimited Shot!
      /ja "Unlimited Shot" <me>
      /wait 1
      /equip Ammo "Fire Arrow"
      /echo Fire Arrow equipped!

      The third macro is my Unlimited Shot Sidewinder macro:

      /party yada yada unlimited shot sidewinder
      /ws "Sidewinder" <t>
      /wait 1
      /equip Ammo
      /wait 1
      /equip Ammo "Scorpion Arrow"

      I include an ammo removal so that if by some bizarre coinicidence I don't have any more scorps left, it will deequip my special arrow and I'll just get a "no ammo" message on my next /ra attempt.

      There are basically only two ways that this macro setup can fail. The first is if I don't notice that Unlimited Shot did not actually activate when I used the Unl.Shot macro, and I hit the Unlimited Shot WS macro anyway. (This has happened twice; the first time I didn't figure it out until later, while the second time I knew it as soon as I did the WS.)

      The second possible failure situation is if I ran out of scorps, hit Unl.Shot macro, then for whatever reason decide to abort and just use the normal WS macro. Although extremely unlikely, this is actually preventable if I include an ammo removal in my "normal" WS macro. The reason why I don't is because it messes up my ammo stack counts, and I end up with a bunch of stacks of 70 arrows. =/

      P.S. Why the hell would anyone buy a San D'Orian CP arrow? That thing isn't worth 300 CP, much less 32,000.

        I generally use 3 macros, just because I like using unlimited shot on demonds or other stuff occasionally..

        1 for unlimited shot,
        1 to equip CP arrow (With relavant echo lines)

        And a 3rd for Ws, with a wait 1.5 to equip scorpion arrows after.

        It's down to a routine now, but there are enough steps in it to prevent me from just stupidly shooting off a CP arrow.

        As for the sandoria CP arrow.. maybe it might be worth something. If the effect on it was a couple hundred points fire damage. Anyone know how much the effect actually is?

            I use both narru. The musketeer is really handy to have around, but the damn ammo is too expensive to use for just standard xping unless you're hardwired into XI.

              Hm, PPA is only 40k CP with Bastok as your nation? Someone told me it would cost 64k (2x CP)...

              How exactly do I get the darn arrow? Wait for Bastok to be first and Windurst to be last, then buy it at Windurst Consulate?

              As for Unlimited Shot, I agree that it's not a good idea to put it all in one macro.. several of my RNG friends used to do that and threw away 2 or 3 CP arrows that way

              In another note, do you guys think the Bastok Bolt is worth getting for Slug Shot purposes?
              I believe in karma. Anyone I treat badly probably deserved it.

                It dosen't actually double the cost of what you're getting. It bumps it up to the next expensive category... so in this case.. from 32k to 40k for a rank 7 item for another nation.

                Your nation for the arrows/bolts has to be in first, it is irrelivant what their nation is in. Talk to one of the other guys guards at the embassy, and buy away.

                If you don't think you're going to shoot the bolt off stupidly.. (Which I haven't yet.. somehow..), then yes, get it. Its 10 damage, +10racc and +20 attack over darksteel bolts. Thats a lot of extra pain with a slugshot.

                    Actually, I don't think you have to be in first; you just have to be ranked above another nation in order to buy their CP gear. So you can buy it if you're in second, as long as they're in third.
                    Yup, just verified it. Sandoria is a 1st or 3rd nation on our server, so I usually don't get the chance to test out buying stuff from 2nd place.

                      after doing that I developed a habit of putting different bolts in different macro slots.... change while slugshotting and then do unlimited shot. If no unlimited shot, switch back to some other bolt like darksteel works. I never idd get back enough CP to buy back the bolt though. >_>

                      However!!! Sometimes the macro lags and you don't switch bolts. I usually like to hit ctrl-8 like 3-4 times just to make sure it switches bolts.

                      and yes, Bastok CP bolt adds a lot more accuracy and damage to slug shots. For the couple of weeks that I had a bolt I used it and it added like 200 damage to my slugshots and those rarely miss cuz of the +10 (or 20?) r. Acc.

                      If your nation is above windurst, you can purchase it at a nice cost of 40k CPs.

                      But Bastok is always in last, might be faster to change nation to windy and go up to rank 7 than wait for bastok to rank higher than windy.

                        Now now Narru, not everyone can be a lvl 85 alchemist and make their own.

                          hmmmm thanks for the imput guys. i guess i will make 3 macros just to make sure. i dont wana lose my windy arrow. that would make me very sad :sweat: :sweat:
