  • Changes in update

OK, so in the new update information here, there's some things of interest. First, apparently you will lose more shadows from certain attacks depending on your ninjutsu skill, which is fair and reasonable.

The second is that the base exp cap per fight is increased to 250 from 51-60, and 300 from 61-75. Yayzor.

    Third, this little tidbit:

Damage calculation of the following weapons has been adjusted. Damage will now be more directly related to the attacker's STR and the defender's VIT.

    Musketeer's sword +1 / Musketeer's sword +2 / [/b]Musketeer Gun +1 / Musketeer Gun +2[/b] [...more other weapons I don't care about]
Now, does this mean that as a Mithra, I will now be doing less damage with my Musketeer's +1 than I was yesterday? Furthermore, the really interesting thing is that while Musketeer's +1 is on that list, the normal Musketeer's is not. Does that mean that it's possible that someone could do more damage with the normal Musketeer's than with a +1?

    Centurio X-I 1/1 - Celphie 1/1 - Deadly Dodo 0/2 - Doppleganger Dio 0/1 - Jaggedy-eared Jack 0/7 - Joo Duzu the Whirlwind 1/1 - Leaping Lizzy 2/16 - Mimas 0/1 - Odqan 1/9 - Orcish Wallbreacher 0/1 - Ose 1/3 - Sagittarius X-XIII 1/1 - Serpopard Ishtar 3/6 - Silk Caterpillar 1/2 - Tom Tit Tat 0/2 - Trickster Kinetix 0/2 - Valkurm Emperor 6/10 - Wyvernpoacher Drachlox 1/1

It seems that they mean to imply that the +1 and +2 versions of musky gun calculated the dmg differently than the base modle. This is looking good for my elvaan ranger now too.. Like to see that my str is gonna affect my dmg now. :-D

I doubt they're going to adjust the damage down from what you're already doing. The +1 versions of stuff don't typically have too much more teeth than the standards at it as. I'd be looking for an upward adjustment for everyone... but speculating on it at this point in time is useless.

I'm not sure on the guns and things, but I wouldn't be too worried about that list. Unless there's something I don't know about Bards (or they get some whacked out new ability soon), that list is a bit... messed up. Quite a few flutes and harps were on that list (like the Angel Lyre). Now I'll admit the highest I've ever played Bard was to level 12, but I'm almost sure Strength doesn't play any part in singing.

My guess is they either typo'd on that list, and meant to say that "various stats will now effect the following equipment more directly", or something of that sort. I doubt Strength is going to change how the Angel Lyre works, so it might not have any effect on the guns either. Though maybe they meant that the +1 and +2 version of those guns will now get a damage bonus based off your Strength.

Who knows =) I am interested in why they put instruments on that list though. So if anyone can figure that out, let me know =)
