I sat in Ranguemont Pass for about 2 hours killing the weapons trying to get the drop... and never got one. From the guide I read, I got the impression it was a garunteed drop. Is this right? How long have other people spent killing weapons for the drop?

I'm almost positive I've done everything I've had to do. I talk to Perchond, he told me about his debacle with the other weapon type and told me to get the dust... so wtf am I doing wrong, if anything?

Its just luck really.

The evil weapons near the Water of Oblivion (3 of them) drop the dust. I got it after about 3 spawn cycles with no /thf sub.

Damn. Those are the ones I'm killing. Still doing it in fact. >.<!

I killed about 6 sets of them before I got my drop. The respawn is about 10-15 minutes on them.

I gave up after about 4 hours and went to bed. :X Came back the next day and got it on my first kill. Took me longer to get there than to get the damn drop Now to wait for a full moon ; ; Is it just me, or does this quest suck?

As you can see I'm nowhere near close enough to do this but, yeah, after reading about it I am already dreading doing this shit. Wait for full moon???? So if I just miss it I have to wait what? 3 days RL???? Who dreamed up that shit?

Actually I looked at the timer one day and saw that it was full moon 90%... so I ran over to jungnar, got there at 95% and got the quest done.

I'd be lying to you if I told you I planned it beforehand...

No biggie, its a POS bow that went straight to my storage anyways... you won't need it until AF2 anyways so just do it at your leisure.

I went to do that for my RNG friend with another friend (a SAM). We killed 1 weapon got the drop and warped out >.>

Then i went back to do BRD AF for another friend, just happened to clear the room of the weapons, and yet again we got drops from every one >.>

You must have some foul luck :/ I killed about 3 sets of repops solo as a war/nin at 48 and got the drop. Then it's just a matter of getting the chitchat done and waiting on the full moon.

LOL AHHHAHAHAH i went there last week ad finay did af wep so i can go get my gloves. i killed 1 on the second of the 3 it droped ) rng/war GO RNG/WAR

i have no idea how long i was here doing this. i had a whm friend offer to help. we kiled set after set of weapons. until we gave up. we both researched it again and talked to people who got this in 1 or 2 sets of weapons. i talked to the guy at the start again. went back started over it took us another 3 hours to get this drop.
