Solo'ed RNG from 12-24 over last 2 days.

The last patch cut spell range for mages by quite a bit; I'm speculating that this also affected mobs, so as of now the worm bug is back (i.e., you can stand at max distance and shoot the worms, and they won't cast a single spell on you), so if you ever wanted to lvl your noob RNG, now is the time

I'm guessing that S-EX will fix this again eventually; for now I'll abuse it as much as possible. Already skipped Valk and Qufim, hopefully I can skip kazham as well.

What do you solo on as a ranger? Worms. Sounds like it was tested and verified to me.

With the spell range being reduced or not. Worms had always been pretty good to solo for me. When I started RNG my 10 - 18's were in Shakrami Maze, then I solo'd the Worms in Qufim till 25. That was all before this patch ever happened just made it a bit easier I guess.

Tested and verified. I went from rng 8 to 15 in a few hours, now heading for 24 tonight.

Urm I guess I wasn't clear enough, but yes, as of right now you can fire range attacks with reckless abandon against worms, while being outside their spell range. No need to do that hit-and-run tactic, or to eat mass rasp/stonega.

Tested and verified number two.
However, soloing decent challenge worms at lv67 isnt exactly the brightest idea because it takes so long.
I got 31xp from Cave worm (ep), and 61 & 84xp from Kuftal Diggers (dc). You can fight those down where the Phantom worm hangs out, but make sure that the linked worms dont move into spell range.

This does work, but I feel sorry for those that won't experience what it was like to try and run away from a Stonega and get utterly, utterly wasted.

Good luck nonetheless until they fix it lol.

i'm already past the point where soloing anything with ranger is just a waste of time and arrows, even worms.

Tested and verified #3. Actually I was soloing worms in Konch Highlands with my newb ranger right before patch. Logged on right after the patch and I was able to tell the difference right away.

Lol, I partied all the way through Valkurm and closeted my ranger because I didn't feel like partying (this was weeks before the patch). And RIGHT after the patch I decide to try to solo a worm. I notice that they can't hit me.

Basically I thought it was ALWAYS like this. Good to know that it was at least a LITTLE more difficult than it is now. Still sucks that I partied through Valkurm though ><;
