I would personally never pay over 3 mil for that bow, its not worth that much IMO.

however, You can get musketeer gun + silvers.... that's all expandable, while the bow itself is a big investment that you'll be using all the way to lvl 75 and beyond (for Maat, Hnms, etc).

Yeah, it's more of a pride issue than anything. For that much though, I'll just lock and load

Actually, a few LV75 RNGs I have spoken to have said that E-bow is obsolete for HNM... they either use O-bow or Hellfire.

In general, the opinion seems to be that Othinus' is quickly supplanting Eurytos' as the uber-RNG weapon of choice.

I don't doubt it, seeing that 1) it's free, and 2) I guess if you stack the effect bolts, it probably does more damage. (Even though it's ratio, attack and accuracy is worse)

The problem is, there is still a 17 level gap if you like using bows inbetween War and Oth bow. (Provided you don't use a sargna, my feelings are mixed on this one.)

Yes, as I said couple months ago, a very well known HNMLS leader on my server sold his e-bow in favor of othinus' bow.

Anyway, in regards to farming Tabars, THF is going to be > RNG for no other reason than Flee, which I did not see anyone mention.

Oooo I am so looking forward to Othinus's Crossbow, and selling this piece of junk lol.


E- Bow is great, but I think that crossbow is soo much better.

But I think that the bow was definatley worth it, it has really helped me through the past ~10 levels. I definatley notice a huge difference. I think it is a worthwhile investment because as a ranger you are going to spend that much on ammo sooner or later so why not have something you can really show for it and then sell it back. I chose to buy it over doing woodworking, so when I get to 67 I am going to have to stop and do woodworking and blacksmith to 60 (there is a short supply of bolts). But at least I will have plenty to spend on it.

So.. what would you ppl recommend at 55+ for most damage?

Eurytos, 1 time big payment that you can sell back in the future with cheap ammo

Othinus, free x-bow but higher ammo cost over bow

Hellfire, long term high cost ammo that you lose forever



Are guns undeniable the absolutely best to use if your gil allows?
