  • Strategy for obtaining E-bow

I'm rapidly approaching lvl55 and would eventually like to get an E-bow, but I'm lacking in gil. I currently olny have about 200k. Any suggestions for turning that 200k into 4mil? Any tips/advice would be greatly appretiated.

Oh also, my woodworking is at lvl52, would using that 200k gil to raise woodworking be a wise choice? Is woodworking a big money maker?

woodworking is bad for making money.

turning 200k into 4 mil.... kinda impossible. even by playing the market you don't really have enough to play with the big items, and making money on the lower items have a tiny profit margin.

Yea, kinda figured woodworking isn't a great moneymaker probably due to the fact that it has sucky HQ items that no one wants. It just boggles my mind how people have 10mil+ gil.

Playing with the market. Hmmm sounds interesting. I think I'll look into that one.

I guess for now I'll just stick to farming for gil ; ; and maybe camping NMs if I'm really bored.

      Thanks for the help

4 letters on how I did it for the most part BCNM

find yourself a good party to do this with I did it with 2 RNG, BRD, BLM (healing BRD), RDM (healing melee), <insert random melee here>

Okay the only must haves here are the BRD and at least one ranger as we are the best BCNM 40 damagers =P if you can get three ranger friends that is definatley the best. The 2 mages healing can be anything have one heal the BRD as they sleep the mandies, and one healing the melee. The RNGs tank, if the black mandie starts casting flood just run to the back until it is done (if you have a DRK they can stun it).

Everyone bring an orb, if you are good you can do the your orb your lot rule.. but most people do the split the loot. Don't do it unless you trust the people though.

I probobly made 2.5 of my 4 million this way. The rest was made before mining and farming became impossible due to all the competition  .

Best way to turn 200k into 4 million would be to buy a lvl 40 set of equipment, and with the rest invest in some mining gear (depending on how crowded gusgen is on your server, and/or farming arrows. At level 55 or around there I suggest farming Tabar Beaks for RNGs only! They are too spread out to be farmed by other classes sure they try or try to sub RNG for widescan but no one can compete with RNGs farming tabars because they are spread out all over the North/ Northeast section of Sauramouge Champagne.

Also if you have not so far do the Utsusemi quest, and since you will most likely kill Deadly Dodo while fighting tabar beaks, you might as well do the Brown belt quest too. Those two quests will give you around 300k depending on your server.

Oh and when you farm eat food.. it really does matter and its only 200 gil per half hour.

Thats pretty much it.. oh and farming rocks at level 55, if you can make friends with a THF or a mage that is willing to help you farm (giving you all the loot of course :p ) but if not thats okay I didn't really have help most of the time.

It takes hard work but I can pull in around 40k -50k an hour farming tabars, 100k mining (if not too crowded), and 300-a million doing BCNMs.

NM camping is a waste of time unless you are one of those people that doesn't have a job and plays all day, in which case just farm all day and you will make more. Unless for some reason there are no one camping the NM its not worth it to wait around for hours just to lose it to someone else.

I just saw you are only 45 wait until 55 before you farm tabars.. sidewinder really helps.

There isnt any quick and easy way to buy something worth 4 mil, especially when you have only 200k.Either farm for the money,guild(200k can make you much),or camp some NM like argus and hope you get the peacock charm to drop

Yea, did 6 BCNMs at palborough, won them all too(BRDs, who needs them? j/k prelude is a godsend). Got an erase scroll which was nice. I guess I'll try to do more of those but I only have 140 seals, so I don't know how long that will last. I tried mining WAY back and I got too frustrated at all the crap ores I was getting, but its been awhile, I guess I could try it again.

Yea I can't wait till 55, sidewinder should be great for farming.

Thanks for those helpful suggestions and maybe in a couple months I'll have a E-bow:sweat:

In the time you waste farming crap to get the E-bow you can level ranger to 70+ where it will be ten times easier for you to get that bow anyway. Don't waste a whole bunch of time to get a bow that'll make you 10-15% stronger at most. That's just not smart.

E-bow is still the strongest bow out there, however once ur 70 and above there are other bows like mastercasters bow and the rng/sam bow which add+15 rng attack

Yeh sure anyone can level any job.. you could probobly get away with just using war bow (not +1) to 75. Party with all the other crappy players.. the PLDs who can't get their AF.. the DRKs with no +acc.

I dont know sure E-bow is not like a job breaker, but if thats how someone wants to play then thats their choice and they are going to be that 10-15% better then you are.

I just got it, because it makes me feel good about knowing that I have the best stuff I can for my level and so I help out the party more and just have more fun.

I also get more invites from good parties, if you have the "best gear" and know how to play your job you will get a good reputation and get to be in some really great parties all the time, the kind that other players dream of :p . And you get avoid alot of the jerks, so to me it was more then worth it.

Like take my monk for example I quit leveling it at 50 because I didn't have enough gil (lol so I switched to RNG), when I go back to monk I want to be able to get scorpion harness, cross counters, millions of millions of gil worth of equipment and just be a really good monk.

Cause I dont know leveling can get boring, having a goal of being the best <job> you can be(with the exception of changing my characters race :p helps, at least it does for me.

But at the same time don't take "months" to get this bow. I dont think it should take that long and if it is taking that long then just keep leveling until you are high enough to make better gil. Also I wouldn't start saving for it now, you are too low to do nothing but farm because once you are 55 you can farm much better things.

Sorry babe, Tabors hunting with RNG can easily be beaten with THF/RNG. I always beat other rangers to the tabors. On top of that TH2, Scan, and DE. And FYI, Northwest, North, North East, and East are locations of Tabors. PWNT
