  • Arching Arrow dmg?

    I'm wondering what the dmg of the lvl 225 bow WS is like on XP mobs.
    I static with a mithra rng/nin, and his Sidewinders are 1k+ with Sargna and Windy CP arrow + static brd. Aggro ripper -_-. I'm interested what setup will be ideal for lvl3 chains.

    If Arching anywhere as stong a finisher as Side, i'd go for something like Dragon Kick -> Arching.

    I might want to have a fui for Arching -> fui Spinning Slash or Sharkbite on to me. I heard the power of the fui 225 WS. This is assuming Arching does enough to pull it off me >_<.

    OR do u rng get stuck spamming side all the way? =P
    Maybe Guillotine -> Sidewinder -> Mistral Axe then....

    Arching arrow doesnt do good dmg at all,but if you fire acid bolts before getting TP to 100% and more then fire it,it might do decent dmg.

      That doesnt sound too promising.

      Can anyone give me numbers?

      Also how is the lvl 250 quest WS, Emphyreal Arrow?

        Emperial arrow does crap damage,worse than arching arrow:p

          First of all, my setup is:
          Othinus' Bow
          Fransisca
          Bastok CP bolt
          Acid/Darksteel/Holy Bolts
          Amemit Mantle
          Full AF etc....
          /WAR abilities
          No Bard

          On processionaires at lv67 (VT-IT, last level for good exp on them it seems) I start a Light chain with Arching Arrow, which does about 900-1100 damage typically, then Spinning Slash which does more or less the same, then the Light damage which varies.

          I absolutely love Arching Arrow (heavy shot), and hope noone asks me to use Sidewinder again.
          Then again, debuffing the mob (dia + acid), berserk, and the CP bolt are really the keys to it being that nice.

          /NIN would do maybe 700-800 damage? Speaking of which, if Utsusemi wasnt #@*%& 160k right now, I'd switch over :mad:

            I've grouped with a few rangers that used it, all of them with ninja sub. Arching arrow was averaging about 600-700 damage, not bad but not outstanding. As for turning it, a good ranger can hold aggro for a few seconds just with arching if you've got a ninja tank, they might have some trouble getting it off a paladin though. Paladins tend to get a lot more hate in general. It helps to do the chain early in the fight before a 2nd or 3rd provoke, much easier to turn.
