How far can u solo Ranger from lvl1 ?

Really new to Ranger got to lvl4 atm as I usualy play blm... was thinking of trying it out for a while as it looks really fun...

so my question is with the jobs I got lvld ie whm or thf I suppose how far can I solo rng? Atm I'm only going to solo as lvling war as sub takes so long time as a taru so I suppose I will have difficulties to get a pt with the subs I have avaliable.

Have heard that worms are an acceptable mob so solo on so if we take worms in korroloka or quifim as example when can I solo those and how fan can they take me?

Really appreciate any answers and please dont flame me for not lvling war or nin to use as sub(havent got nin at all so) as I intend to try the job out before I decide if I want to stick to it..

You really need to get nin in my opinion and war would be nice but you can definately use your thief for the time being while you solo. I soloed worms easy in La Theine at lvl 8 and was getting 72-140 xp until about lvl 10-11 then I just got some PTs in the dunes because I didnt want to travel all the way down to koroloka tunnel where I hear you can solo until close to lvl 20 or so.


Having the right equipment makes all the difference. Get the longbow +1 at lvl 5 you can use that until lvl 12 when you can buy the hunters longbow then switch to powerbow+1 at lvl 16. Save that gil

from lv 1 to lv 27 is soloable with a lot of money and a whm sub. You might want a partner in case of bad things happends.

1~8 Ronfare or Gustarberg worms

9~12 La thiene or Highland worms

13~17 (or 18) maze of Shakhrami Maze maker

19~22 Korrokola Tunnel land worms

22~26 Qufim land worms

26+ Maze of Shakhrami abbyssmal worms

So korroloka aint good until u hit atleast lvl18-19? Thought u might be able to do them earlier....

Will definitely give it a try and I'll also try to get nin but have a hard time finding people to do it with... not easy to solo things as a blm

....Don't stay in Shakrami until lvl 18, and don't stay in Qufim until 26.

Shakrami is for lvl 12-16
Korroloka is for lvl 16-20
Qufim is for lvl 20-24 (the xp starts getting really crappy by 24)

I have no idea about Abysmal worms...I never even knew they existed. I may have to check em out.

And don't be afraid about getting a blm or fellow rng to help you out at the lower levels in each zone. I had a great time in Shakrami with another BLM from lvl 14-15. At 15, the xp started slipping, cause we no longer got 200 xp per fight. But, by 15, you can solo Shakrami worms easily.

I think Korolloka ends around 24 I am getting 120-240 solo xp with chains at lvl 19-21. There should be another 2-3 decently fast solo levels to be earned here.

Also, if you plan on soloing, you NEED pretty much the best equipment. A Hunter's Longbow or Power Bow +1 is a must. Along with bone rings +1 and a healthy supply of the best arrows you can use. Don't forget those mithkabobs either.

I plan to get the powerbow+1 and I already got the bonerings+1 and I'm a cook so kabobs is np... just got to get good arrows then..

I've got all the best stat bonus gear you can buy(except the leaping liz boots. It really does make all the difference when you solo thats for sure.

I did this, but insteaed of solo, i found all of the blm's and rng's in the area, and invited them to my party, telling them we are soloing worms. If you can get a whm or rdm who can cure, and eventually silence the worms, you guys will take 0 dmg, and get amazing exp.

I litterally lvled from 1-45 in 3 weeks. Mainly because in my exp parties at 30+ i had great luck in having a brd, whm, and at least meRNG + BLM + BLM or another RNG. things go fast the more dmg u do.

Its weird how poeple fill their party with wars, and sams and wonder why the xp is slow heh

That doesnt make much sense. How can you solo worms with a PT? I can get xp chains of 240 xp sometimes with my rng in koroloka tunnel but if you invite a bunch of mages and rng then that xp is going to go down a pretty good chunk

umm. Do you know how exp works?

I said do not invite anyone "over" your level. If you do this then the exp comes even faster then just solo. If there was a chain #99 we would have hit it.

actually no where in this does it state that they are the same level as you.

and you said you are soloing worms...what you should have said is that you are hunting worms. Solo means solo as in by yourself

I'w now maged to get pretty far on the way atleast my first goal is to hit 30 with rng and if I can I really want to skip kazham altogether

so what I wonder is do any of u know a good spot in maze when u can solo or duo abyss worms without to many gobs/ghouls close by?

I also would like some thoughts on equipment if u can give me some tip. I got the beetlerings+1 the powerbow+1 bestinger(till I can get archers knife) the +agi heaband dont remember name. and I use kabobs all the time.
I dont have enough money to get emp hairpin and leaping boots right now so any advice is greatly appreciated.
And is there any good body,leg,hand,waist,back iems that are affordable at this lvls? (up to 30 and include 30)

How do you solo worms now? I know before there was a way to shoot, run out of range, and come back. But I believe SE fixed that (longer magic range and the worms will re-spawn with full health if not hit fast enough).

Do you just stand there and hope they don't do too many damaging magic spells? Or the old fasion way and hope for the best?
