Ranger's lv 52 AF

ok how can I get this quest? The Galka Guslam won't give me this quest. I have done AF1 and now doing AF2 (I sub whm so i can invisble + sneak myself).

I have lv 7 fame in Jeuno and about 6~7 fame in Windrust and Bastok, level 2 fame in Sandoria....

i'm not sure but you have to be lvl 50+ in order to get the quest.... but i fyou got AF2 started you should be able to get this quest too :spin:

Ah, so I need AF2 started before I can get this quest right? And you need to have the quest before opening the coffer right?

Is AF2 hard? Since I don't have to fight anything I can sub whm to use sneak/invisible I think I might be able to solo it.

You won't be able to solo it until 55 (at least, when you get sidewinder). There are a pair of decent-challenge birdies guarding a door you have to fiddle with to open [which kills invis]. On top of that, the pond you have to scavange in is filled with sound-active leeches.

The leeches in the pond weren't really a problem when I did it, but the yagudos at both the entrance door, and surrounding the pool will aggro you when you open the door/scavenge (and lose invis).
You do not lose sneak when you scavenge though.

It might not be the best idea to try and do this one solo. Although it is random, it took me 5 scavenge attempts to get the item. It wouldn't be too fun to stay sneak/invis that long, but its probably not impossible to solo.

well, when I did it, there was yagudo Consquitador and prior guarding the door to level 3, which Coned easy prey to me. I'd get a higher level friend that can open the door without aggro to open it up for you, and just go invis through that place till you get to the pond.

Also, you CAN open coffers before getting the quest, its just that there'd just be the normal award in there. (gil, map, items, etc) if you don't have the quest.

Leeches aggro to sound, but i'm not sure if scavenge removes sneak. It removes invis, which would cause some problems.

EDIT: Scavenge in that pond isn't 100% successful. It took me 2 tries (10 minutes) to do it, so its safer to bring a small party so you can clear house and be safe.
