I purchased the +1 for about 15k or so on my server. It does make a difference in terms of accuracy. I tested it against the royal archers long bow which has a higher attack but it only hits for like 8 more dmg and it misses noticeably more than the +1. The accuracy bonus is where the +1 makes the bigger difference. If you have the gil go for it.

I feel nin is a better sub because it gives you better job traits like dual wield and stuff for archers knives.

Get a Sandorian Bow at 10 till Powerbow+1, I use a regular Longbow since under lvl 10...it really doesn't matter =p

The difference between the longbow and the longbow +1 is actually noticeable. You will hit more often and for slightly more dmg. The real factor here is the accuracy though. I have compared the 2. Also I have a hunter's longbow now which is dropped by a NM in Giddeus? In comparing all the stats in the strat guide it seems to be the best thing to use until powerbow+1 I tried the royal archer's longbow for fun and while it did slightly more damage than the +1 longbow...it hit noticeably less.

Until you can get a hunters longbow, or a power +1, it really dosen't even matter. If you can get the +1 versions of the lower stuff, great, but if not, it's not like it takes very long to get to 12 or 16.

I felt rich, even though I wasn't and dropped the 23k for the Longbow+1. I never tried using anything else, but I still missed with the the added accuracy. More importantly since every shot is literally shooting gil, I decided that any accuracy boost would save me money in the long run; you can always resell the bow.

If you have the money, go for it, but if not...don't. ^^

BTW, over the longbow+1...I'm lovin' the Hunter's!

Yeah I am as well. Hunters Long Bow is great :D
