Ranger weakness in PVP

yaaah, can we all not think further with pvp in this paticular situation? well at least with that stupid sleep bolt and sleep ii spells etc on rng or what not.


sleep bolt wont add the sleep effect all the time...
fucking bring a poison pot, sleep will be ineffective, BLM will be taken care of if you do this..

Incorrect. The "cast time" for a spell (2.5 seconds, in the case of Sleep I) is the time it takes the meter to get to 100%, not the actual time it takes to cast, which (as you astutely pointed out) is really 80% of that number.

So it is in fact a "6/10ths thing;" it's just that without Fast Cast, it's an "8/10ths thing."

Also, I believe the Fast Cast trait gets better at higher levels.

Have any of you played PvP yet? Bind is the ONLY thing that matters. 80% of my time in PvP was spent chasing people or being chased. Sleep does not matter. PvP is not organized arena fighting, they unleash a maximum of 72 v 72 in Jugner, Meriphataud, or Pashow, and let hell break loose. Teams of 5-10 rape loners. If you cast sleep on someone, as soon as they get hit they take off running. You cannot kill someone without a ONE-HIT KILL or BIND. One word for PvP: madness.

This is true, but in my experience in PVP it lands sleep almost 100%. On mobs though that's a different story

I'm not sure its 72vs72 max. It says 72 max per team on the web, but the Herald in-game says 36 max per team (36vs36).

Ah hah! They listened to the bug report I sent in and fixed it. The web site now says "The maximum number of participants for one team is 36."
