Eurytos' Bow

is this the best bow for rangers? all the way til the end?
Is this bow a must :confused: its worth about 2~3 million gil on my server and its sold out too

yes as far as I know this bow owns all. If I ever get that high in lvl I'm gonna start some serious farming to get me one. I can only hope It will go down in price by then, hehe. I havent seen the Relic bow..cant say if its better or not.

this bow is only lvl 55. There's plenty of bows after lvl 55 that has higher.

Story time: I recently encountered a high level japanese ranger (lv75) on my server, and noticed he wasn't using a Eury' bow or a high level gun. Instead, he was using a Rare/Ex crossbow, and was shooting Darksteel bolts.

So I wander over to the AH in jeuno, check the price history, and sure enough there was his name next to the most recently sold Eury' bow (~2.5 mil).
Obviously to him there were better options that late in the game.

Question: I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but I would love to keep this thread going, and hopefully someone with a high level ranger can comment on the Shigeto bow / +1, the Master casters bow, Loxley bow etc etc.

Are any of these viable options, and does the priority of your weapon change from the damage per shot -> TP gain? That's the only thing I can think regarding the crossbow, but it seems a little far stretched.

I also noticed a 70-ish ranger with a rare/ex crossbow and the darksteel bolts. I'm not sure if it's better or not....

Its not better persay -- But its the best crossbow in the game. So rangers want it... Friend just got one.

For bows though - yah its basically Ebow or nothing but you can switch to using high level guns (ie Hellfire and such) and silver bullets when you can afford it or this crossbow. I hope they give us more weapons though -- Kinda lame stuck with 1 bow type weapon that is the end all be all for our class.

Crossbow Bolts have very good effects slapped onto them.

Such as the DEF-DOWN bolts.

Dia: -5%
DiaII: -8%
Katana effect: -10%
Bolt: -15%

As you can see, status bolts own =)
