sub nin, sam, or thf???

I plan on becoming a ranger when FFXI comes to PS2 and I just wants some opinions from people on whether it would be better to sub sam, nin, or thf? A reason for each would help alot too. Thank You!!

NIN - Dual Wield / AGI Boost
SAM - TP out the ying-yang (at HIGH lvls)
THF - Treeeeeeeeasurrrrre Hunntttttttttterrrrr (some dex/agi ups)

I personally am going war. i have it lvld up almost to 37 and have ranger job ready and at lvl 7

war = high damage, less hitting than a NIN sub but it equals out... its your playing style dude. just dont play RNG/BST.......... :dead:

TP.. is the special bar..
kinda like that bar at the bottom of your screen when you play street fighter. Every time you get hit or hit others it charages up a little bit. When it gets to full.. you can execute a super move (weapon skill).

My personal favorite is war sub. I believe whatever youw ant to do, take it to the extreme.

If i chose a ranger, i might as well go with elvaan and use war sub to deal the most possible damage with arrows.
(note: so i made a new character to be an elvaan instead of a mithra)
Just today when i was partying with a mithra rng/nin. When i used berserk, my normal damage from my gaxe was higher than her power bow +1 at qufim at lvl 21 with iron arrows. We were both using meat mithkabobs and i used all +str items. (+12 str +9 atk).

IMO why bother being a ranger if you can't even out damage a warrior? Sub a war, because its the best sub. (even with only 2 more strength at lvl 75, every little point counts)

(btw i was hitting for high 50's and mid 60's with my neck chopper)

Sam= miss??

Even though i have heard that sam is one of the better subs for ran. I also heard that when u strike it tends to miss alot. Is this true? what can you do to counter this??

plus SAM isnt that bad after you get done with your 1-10 soloing...

Maybe when you get the game you'll wanna be a Black Mage I know from first hand experience that I wanted to be a white mage and instead went warrior...........

Just my opinion I was thinking /nin would be good just from the fact rangers gain tp low so having two daggers means more attacking means more TP for a WS ^^ plus the blink will help if you get the hate towards you.

We get TP slow? Thats news to me. I'm usually the first in the party to get it.

The only reasons you sub ninja is for the +acc boost from the archers knives, and blink.

What level was your rng? We're kind of in a weak position until we get barrage and weapon upgrades at 30, I will give you that much

War - DMG, Berserk, Atk Up, Def Up
Nin - 2 Archers Knives (Accuracy), Blink
Sam (Not till after 60) - TP Meditaite, TP Store

Farming

THF - Gill/Treasure Finding abilities
RDM/WHM - Healing while soloing


It is not okay to group with the farming subs, The agi diff from Thf - War is like 2 points. However since no thf ability assist Ranger dmg it should not be used without a doubt during a XP/Party when you can use a sub that helps your dmg or accuracy alot.

Nin does not have to much agi over war btw.
