Dummies for Ranger 1-25

Hey all Anyways it has been 4 days I`ve been playing Ranger, as a Taru Taru, and I`ve went from 1->25 in 4 days.

So I thought, hey ill share my secret.

I. The Cost:
Let me be very honest, you will go into gils, and lots of gils. It`s like goldsmithing, but with no return. Your stacks can start at 396 for your wooden arrows, considering you buy them from store, try to always buy from stores. than eventually it goes up to about 700-800/stack, than you move onto 1000/stack and for 24, you reach the nice pricey silver arrows at 1386/stack, or 2k if its not on sale at the shop. I would say from 1-24 you will spend on average 40-60k in arrows, make sure you always have the best bow, in this case 16->21=powerbow +1 about 22k, so we reach 80k let`s say, than you get your beetle +1 ring +4 RA for 6k a pair, so 86k, than you can add anything agi based. Dont bother with +2 agi rings, take Ranged Attack over agi. so in theory 100k, until 24. Oh ya, mithkabobs helps too , a lot, so add a couple of k for every stack.

II. OMG (So Build a prominent farmer)
Ha, ya, omg, let me say something, i bought my initial gear at the start, but i farmed between the 4 days, if i didnt farm, i would be 30+. But i spent lots of time farming to make extra cash. I built a level 50+ Black mage for farming deeds. I just go around kill everything in sigh, its easy to make gils for me. So if you dont want to go beyond the 4 days, make 120k in advance, or you can make a good farmer(you can buy overkill items like lizzie boots & emperor, but I prefer to wait for AF, but either way its still a good investment, espcially if your a low agi race).

III. Im Set now where do I go.
Ok, so your all geared up, and financially you are ready to take on the task. so here we go (Please note i started from windrust):

1. 1-10 go around east sarataba(however its spelt, i write east sara from now on). Generally you got two options, 1. Get someone to power level you, heal you constantly, but less income. 2. go kill low lvl stuff for crystals while xping. from 1-10 this can lot you a lot of gils. take it slow these first 10 levels, but make sure you do it on day 1. it can take about 3 hours with a power level, or u can drag it to 8 hours for farming at same time.

2. 10-18 Maze of Shakarami
Your most annoying leveling time will be 10-13 you will have many misses, gils will flow and go away, dont be shy to group with some other ppls your level, mostly you want whm, rdm, blm or fellow ranger, avoid melee, as they are a waste for cure`s in your party at this point. demand barstonera, agi is very important at this point.
Now that you hit 13, you say good bye to your group, thank you for party see you again, and you get a white mage, lvl 11 minimum. tell whm to always stay out of range, and if you have a taru whm with a blm/sum sub congrats, you cna chain a couple. you will be netting amazing xp 150+-250xp and the whm too.
at 15 you can sitll have a whm level 11, thats what i did, and i dinged 18 with that whm. than at 18 you say good bye. ***always make sure whm is lower or even, and dont have more than you & whm, you only need a 2 man party****

3. Korrokula Tunnels18-22(or some shizzaz like that)
in bastok, zeruhn mines, if u cant get in go install rise of zilart. Now go in with anothor whm, and yes a rdm can do as well. but i prefer whm for more mp. and go in the entrance and kill worms, go to the left side from the entrance and you have more worms, you can go a fairly safe route, but if you dont know the tunnels avoid going inside. now at this point you shuld be using iron or beetle arrows with mithkabobs, i prefer beetle 2 less dmg but higher accuracy=faster kill=less gil spent in the end. 4. Quifim
Yuck, I hate this place
Well get a noob, lvl 18-21 is fine same thing 2 man party. go around killing worms, avoid giants, and stay near entrance banner from 1800->0040, and kill worms, this is good until 24, you will get 100-192xp at this point on occaisions chains will hit you 250-260 but thats mostly on power levels. if you bought all the gear i mentioned you should be ripping right into them, when u see 3 worms nearby, use your 2 hour on one, its a em,ergency... for xp XD.
Anyways that shuld easily net you to level 24, you could go until 25 if u solo it, but i avoid solo, i hate death. but ya at 24 xp in 2 man party drops to 72-110xp, solo would net 100-120 mayeb 140 until 25. But i headed to kazaam. i hate that place, but i think i will release a 40-50 guide, i have a good idea where to go..

Anyways sorry its disorganised, but i am at work XD
I am form kujata, this has been the easiest job i leveled, as well expensive. I hope this helps.

yeah im about to start leveling my ranger up. But im trying to get my ninja to 15 so I can go all the way to 30 without stopping.

I also wanted to make enough money to buy the leaping boots and hairpin. I have a level 30 thf right now. I think im at around 80k and I only specifically farmed for ranger for about a day. Right now im waiting for my stuff to sell in the AH, im totally full from my last farm harvest .

Note that if you have the WHM or RDM Silence the worms, they can basically sit there and get free exp. If you inform them of this fact, they'll be more than willing to join you.

hmm.... im currently a whm and im lvling up to 30 so ic an change to ranger. but thats not a bad idea.... ill ask around to the rangers i see and maybe someone will wanna do that silence the enemy thing.... not a bad deal at all...

For levels 24-29, head back to Shakrami. This time around, fight abyss worms however, and you'll be golden.
