Ranger AF help!

Just hit lvl 58 tonight, I'm planning on doing my AF quest this weekend. I haven't done any of the Ranger AF besides AF1(the bow). Actually I'm only interested in the AF Jerkin, and plan on skipping the rest if possible.

I've read the quest at Killingifrit.com, http://www.killingifrit.com/page.php?id=88. Either this guide is inaccurate or I'm missing something. I can't activate the "The Lost Manitou Arm Guard of Bolghertz" quest, according to that guide you only have to complete AF1 and be over lvl 50 to get that quest, I meet both the requirements. But when I talk to Guslam, he won't give me the quest .

If the guide is accurate, doing these steps will get you the AF Jerkin....

1) Complete AF1(done!)
2) Get Bolghertz quest, don't have to complete it.(can't activate quest)
3) Open Davoi coffer.

Looks a little too easy to me, I somehow doubt the guide is accurate since I can't even get the Bolghertz quest. Anyone can confirm this? If it isn't accurate, can someone give me the sequence which AF have to be done first and stuff.

Why would you skip the boots or the hat?

AF BP is in a coffer - I believe no questing is required.

hmm have you accpted af2 from the tribe leader in windhurst? I did that frsit before going to the guy in upper jeuno.
So i had Af1 done, then went to windy and accpted af2(not completed), then went to jeuno and was able to get the arm guard quest, and i have opened the nest coffer for legs so i know it worked ^^
Aslo the davoi coffer is really hard to find the key from what I hear.

Thanks Melia, followed your steps and got the quest .

The other AF pieces really aren't that good, or maybe just slightly better, I can live with that. The AF Jerkin though, it's a huge upgrade for a Ranger, there really isn't any good body piece a Ranger can wear besides the AF Jerkin. My Ranger isn't my main job, not gonna get LS help for this one.
