Subbing RNG

Would subbing a ranger be a good idea? I've only seen one out of the 3000+ people that were on one night that had THF as main job and RNG subbed... or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough =_=...

But to get to the point... ever since I dropped 20WHM with my char I picked up THF and have been playing as a THF for about 2 days... I've been thinking about subbing RNG

Would THF/RNG be a good idea? I don't wanna sub NIN or anything else since I wanna have a char that can shoot AND steal things (Yes, THF can also shoot - but they don't have widescan)

Good? Bad? Suggestions?

Rng doesnt really complement your class you cant even use bow WS.

If you wanna shoot and steal you will wanna do RNG/THF(although from a ranger standpoint, THF is only a good subjob for farming-usually NIN is the sub of choice because you can dual +10 ranged acc daggers, warrior works well also). Shooting as a THF is a bad idea because you can't do Sneak/Trick attack using a bow, so shooting will probably never do the damage your melee can.

So yeah you'll want a WAR/NIN most of the time for increased melee damage, but RNG would work good for farming due to widescan.

You may want to do certain mains/subs because you want to and you think it would be fun for you, but you should give this post a quick read first.
