Is there anyway, at all, on gods green earth that a Ranger could be useful in a BCNM battle? You have much experience about Ranger as I (and many people on this forums) know and I have alot of repect for you. So is there anyway? Even with totally decked out gear? Would the hate you get from the hit be a problem? Think Utsusemi would cover the damage?
Actually a more important question would a Ranger even be invited to the party? Would they just be considered an annoyance because they can't provide anything? I heard somewhere that you can only fight these monsters once with YOUR orb you get. So if I get my orb and go looking for people to help me think there gonna laugh at me?
Hrm... lemme phrase this bluntly in 2 questions to make this easier.
Is there any possible Epuipment Combination/Stategy that would allow a Rng/Nin to function effectively in a BCNM fight?
If not would a party be able to defeat the BCNM with 1 character basically hiding in the corner?
I shudder to think that my orbs are not going to be used ever and that I will never get to fight in a BCNM battle because of my class. If this is the truth I'm holding on to them ^^.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.
P.s. Adding this after I posted. If what they say is true and Rangers are about as usefull as a pile a dog crap in these fights, do you, in your honest opinion, think this is unfair? Think maybe Ranger vs. Big Bad Monster should be tweaked alittle by SquareEnix?
Sorry about any incomprehensible posts. I have been awake for 24 hours now and I seem to always hit the forums before I go to bed. If I am typing like a moron lemme know and I'll clear up my questions.
