beetle arrows

I'm sick of the NA's complete lack of crafting resources.

I made the mistake of walking into one of the local electronics stores (Yodobashi) here in Japan and looking at one of their FFXI strategy guides and HOLY %$*#!!! The book was actually glowing in my hands. It had complete full page full color maps with enemy and NM locations, etc. AND it had complete crafting info! I don't know if y'all have looked at the Brady strat, but (even though I use it all the time) it's a piece of garbage.

I've bounced around to all the major sites in the NA FFXI community, and gotten 4 different recipes for beetle arrows, and /none/ for beetle arrowheads. I know there are people out there making these things. Help!

Beetle Arrows

Personally, I would have bought that magazine if it were half as good as you say. Can you send me one?

Anyway,

The recipe for Beetle Arrows is:

1 x Insect Arrowhead
1 x Earth Crystal
1 x Chocobo Fletching
1 x Arrow Wood

I wouldnt expect to much from the collection of morons on this board. There are some helpful people but far to many idiots and mis-information to wade through.

It does help, but I've heard conflicting reports between yagudo and chocobo fletchings. And I still have no idea how to make the arrowheads.

I would have bought the strat too, if it was in english. My japanese is nowhere near good enough yet to wade through all the kanji required. I don't even know what farplaner's sub is!

I really don't want to reduce this thread to another flamewar, as I would really like some useful info, but I tend not to trust your opinion on "the collection of morons on this board." I've found them very helpful, and I've been witness to the antics that got you your warning level:

Beetle Arrowheads

My antics? did you see some of the replies from these people? Talk about worthless replies. Nevermind... I have no wish to start another flame war or get anymore warnings.

I do not know the recipe for beetle arrowheads. I just buy them if i want to make beetle arrows as they are 1.8k per stack on my server so the cost isnt bad at all. I know they are made with bone craft and since i have 40 skill in woodworking and 48 skill in cooking i have no desire to learn a new craft.

The recipe i posted below only requires woodworking to craft the arrows.

i can't remember the recipe for beetle arrows.
all the arrow recipes move between using chocobo/bird/insect flecthings and ash or arrowwood. the consistants are earth crystal and X type of arrowhead.

if you want to know what the recipe is because you want to craft them, talk to the head woodworker in the woodworker's guild in north san. he'll tell you what you can currently make. and if you can make beetle arrows he'll tell you the recipe!
