Smithing required to craft Iron Arrows?

Most websites say it is required, but some crafters on the forums said you don't.

Also, what carpenting skill can I start crafting Iron Arrow(with advanced support)?

Simply said, Dont bother making Iron Arrows. It is WAY more expensive to craft them since Iron Ore cost alot more than just going to most NPC stores and buying them for 7-8 each. Which is about 700 a stack if you go to the right place. I dont have the exact cost for making Iron arrows on my server but I remeber it being like atleast triple.

If you really want to make them yourself with only woodworking you can use the following recipe:

1 x Earth Crystal
1 x Arrow Wood
1 x Iron Arrowhead
1 x Chocobo Fletching

But trimpton is right, it costs a lot more to make them yourself. Buy them in Jeuno in the weapons shop for 8 gil per arrow.
