Question on Status arrows:

I've seen a bunch of status effect arrows sold on the AH. Do these effects process every time the arrow/bolt/bullet is shot? Or is there a certain frequency that the effect will be cast? I realize that there will be resists, but I am asking if the effect is even processed every time.

i would also like to know ,i really hope there not like the swords that have effects like the fireblade where the fire effect barely ever happens if your lucky you would get the extra fire dmg twice in 10hours.
btw also another question for any of the really high level rangers that might have experimented with redmage sub (yes i know it sounds like a wierd sub).
if you cast an en spell like enthunder so your sword would have extra thunder damage every hit ,would that also effect bow's ?

kinda wierd to reply to my own question, but i bought 20 sleep arrows. i used them 3 times and it procced every time.
