Curious..Max?

Curious as to some of our higher level rangers and their max hit per ws/2h/barrage etc...

I recall seeing a screenshot somewhere with 2-3k... but am uncertain of how common or good that is...

Currently the other day I poped my 2hr on a weak mob.. So I will go first..

Max hit 2hr - 978
WS (Flame Arrow) - 251
Regular Arrow - 181 Crit

Now I know I still have quite abit of growing to do as a ranger.. but I would really appreciate some response via comparative numbers. 8)

Btw, Its great to see the dmg grow and grow.. very noticable every level Don't be caught without mithkabobs!

It kinda depends what mobs your facing. Cause fighting mobs that are way lower lvl then you shows nothing. List your dmg to the mobs you fight to lvl is a more accurate gauge of your dmg.

I understand that.. Just looking for some idea of how high the flashy numbers can get =P

Also.. the only one on a weak mob is the 2h listing.. The others are on your typical tough/incred tough exp mobs. =P

try doing flaming arrow vs. a bomb ~_^

anyway one time i got 3000-odd on a giddeus bee with sidewinder. most i've done vs. a totetote (IT) is 1000.

Yeah, I heard flaming arrow is ungodly vs. bombs.

Is it so unbalanced that I can take the Samurai Quest bomb at lvl 40? :sweat:

I always only compare with IT mobs cause that's what really counts when pt'ing, highest I got was 500-600, Hope I'll beat that when I lvl up and get sidewinder

Apoc how the hell did you get 1k dmg to a totetote was it with sidewinder + renkei dmg maybe? or just a normal sidewinder?

just a normal sidewinder (with an elemental arrow, whereas sometimes i use a scorpion arrow for less dmg but higher acc.) against a raptor which have low defence. 1k(+) would be a lot easier to do with sidewinder if i subbed war and wasn't a taru.

High was sidewinder on bumblebee for 3233 @ lvl 55

2hour = ~1k on a IT con Knight Crawler @ lvl 57
Barrage = 1200+ on VT con Azer (Bomb) @ lvl 56
Average sidewinder on IT would be around 700 on ws alone

I know apoc, PLD is RNG's best friend, I'll guess after 55 I'll give Ruderion something to work for ^-^

Or you can just sub NIN. Use Utsusemi before Sidewinder, and hope the PLD will take hate away from you before blink goes away....or just time your powders right.
