Nin sub is good for lower lvls I think ... where you still have trouble with accuracy, so those dual Archers Knife will help alot. I have yet to see a high lvl Ranger(lvl65+) with Nin as thier sub. Most of them are subbed Warrior, and a few of them subbed Samurai. I also find it weird that everytime I inspect a Ranger lvl 70+, they are using a Darksteel Axe as thier melee weapon o.0. Am I missing something?

I know a 60 rng who uses /nin sub ~_^ but yeah, very few do.

SAM is a pretty useless sub until rng is lv60.

I was just looking over NIN abilities on Allakhazam, and all of them (the whole three, heh) seem very beneficial to a ranger.

        1. Stealth - Another aggro chance lowering ability, does this stack with Alertness? Because that would make you pretty damn slippery, maybe even hardly noticable. What exactly does alertness/stealth do, by the way? Lessen the aggro range?

        2. Resist Bind - Resist abilities are indeed overly weak, but this is a good trait to have for a ranger, especially when worming. And, from my current experience, rangers have to flee the scene quite a bit, so not being bound is a definite plus.

        3. Dual wield - Obvious for the archer's knives, and general bad-assness. And it's very Legolas.

Plus they have the excellent invisible and blink spells that are obtained in the wee levels, (the abilities, by the way, are NIN 5-15, so you don't have to wait too long to gain the full effects.) but I have read that the blink spell in particular is about 90k on auction, and that the quest is a pain in the ass to obtain, so that's bad. And NIN has no active abilities whatsoever.

You can't deny that at higher levels, the sam's abilities for TP are downright priceless for a ranger. However, for the time being, I'm always upset whenever my ranger misses a shot, so I'm subbing ninja. When I get to higher levels, I may switch it up to sam, but I'm taking a "wait and see" attitude. Both have their strong points, certainly.

Yes, it appears Sam is not a worthwhile sub into 60 ranger. I'm not too familiar with Samuari, but it definitely seems like ninja and war are better choices pre-60. I should mention I rarely see any high-lvl Ranger/Sams; it's pretty much war or thf (although I assume most were doing other things than leveling).

Although it looks absolutely horrible to level, I'm definitely leveling up ninja as soon as I reach 28 on my ranger; i could care less about doing extra damage when I'm lucky to hit half the time
