  • Ranger questions...

I wanna learn how to become an efficient ranger when I get there...

    Arrow Making
What crafts should I start building up to make the best arrows late game?

    Bow Damage
What determines how much damage you do? Agility? Dexterity? Strength?

    Another Bow Question
What's the best bow for a Ranger late game (50+)?

    Combat
What is a Rangers role in a party? Sit back and pound enemies from afar right?

    Combat
Are Rangers heavey hitters or do they just fire quickly like a machine gun? How deadly are they in relation to like a Paladin or a Dark Knight or a Summoner? Do they use alot of WS and do they get alot of TP?

Right now I'm a lvl 12 Mithran Warrior... do Mithrans make the best Rangers?

What kind of equipment should I be wearing late game? + Agility + Dexterity stuff?

I'm planning on becoming a Ranger/Ninja or Ranger/Samurai even though everyone says go Ranger/Theif. I think most people say that because of the fact that they need lots of money for arrows. I plan on learning how to make my own or selling items at the Auction house to make up for this... smart idea or should I just go theif and get lots of gold that way?

If a good ranger could help me out here I'd be more then happy. Thanks for your time and thank you in advance.

    Arrow Making
Don't really have to worry about this early on, guilding consumes much much gil, so you can go on as a consumer rather than a guilder, unless you happen to strike it rich somehow and become a millionaire (I kid you not, you need MILLIONS of gil to invest enough guilding material to become a high level)

    Bow Damage
It is determined by ranged attack, just like regular melee's attack is determined by physical attack strength, do not confuse the two

    Another Bow Question
The best bow in the game is called the Lv55 Errotous Bow (spelling?). It is dropped from a strong NM in Feyin called the Eastern Shadow, and it goes for roughly 3million gil on my server. It adds like 23 to ranged attack, and thats just one of the many stat bonuses it has

    Combat
Just like other melees, to dish out damage. Some rangers stand afar and only use arrows/bullets, while others come near the front so they can take a few swings with their daggers or swords to gain tp faster.

    Combat
Rangers are the strongest class in the game, handsdown. No job can come close to the damage they deal. i am a drk myself and a ranger far surpasses my ws and my regular hits any day of the week. They take a long time to fire off an arrow or a bullet because the delay for those weapons is the longest. And also their WS tend to miss alot, which could also be annoying.....but when their WS hits..whoo boy be prepared for 1000+ damage XD

Thats not true about the guilding. IM currently lvl 12 i started late and im lvl 2 in bonesmithing. Like so far i have just been making bone clips and selling them back to raise my lvl. U get the most money back from them and all u need is one bone chip. I think so far ive spent 1.5k gil for 2 lvls. That doesnt seem that bad. Also im lvl 30 in archery i spent like 5 hours just shooting random stuff..much fun

I guess my assumptions were a bit generalized, let me rephrase: Leathermaking, Blacksmithing, Tannery
These guilds make the most profitable items, and are also the most expensive.

Tannery and Leathermaking are the same thing, i think you meant to put Goldsmithin in.
