  • Ranger/Monk?

I'm thinking this might be a worthwhile sub, due to the fact that a Ranger would gain Accumulate at 10 and Concentrate (The reason for even subbinhg Monk) at 50. After all, nobody wants to miss, especially if it means you just threw away that gil for nothing.

Anyway, would it be worth it? Is Concentrate and Accumulate worth enough to make Monk a viable sub for Ranger?

(I know SAM and THF would probably be a better choice, but I just want to know if Monk would be worthwhile.)

I'm kind of curious about this as well. I've been planning to start the game out as a Monk, and then pick up the Sam, Nin, and Archer skills so I can mix them up. Some times you feel like a Ninja, some times you don't...

I can definetly see the other classes benifits, Sam you get incredible TP charging abilities + Sidewinder, and Thief gets you a goodly amount of money in addition to other things. I also think with the Monk as a sub for Archer, in addition to the benifits Nico Sillius mentioned, you would also get a good HP bonus, evade, counter and guard abilities, which would be a big help if your parties' taunting Paladin was alittle slow on the draw...

    Somebody correct me...
