    Wow...

After reading all of this I so wanna become a Ranger. Even before this game even came out I couldnt choose what job to be and when I was playing this game for 5 months I still couldnt figure what to be.... my plans where like "Im gonna become a drk!" then "Im gonna become whm!" big difference huh? But till now... this job seems so perfect to me in so many ways as ya explained and my town high school basketball and football team is called "The (my towns name) Rangers!" Crazy huh? lol, And with your fine guide Tongyang I wanna become a Ranger after all these 12 months, I finally chose what job to be! And nothing is gonna stop me from bein a ranger! Thanks a ton Tongyang!

Yes, Bomingo Rounds in Windurst Woods you'll see the Valeriano Troupe to the east of the fountain. Right between the two pathways that lead to the AH and Leviathan's Gate (E. Sarutabaruta Exit). You'll see the mithra sitting across from them slightly NW of them kind of just watching the group.

It's not that they never hit it's that they have a higher miss rate. You can hit the HNM but you really have to push your AGI, and Ranged Accuracy pretty high, and use Sharpshot. Even then you'll probably miss more often then you're use to.

For the person asking about the Amenit Mantle. (Might be spelling that wrong). It's lvl 61 i forgot the job that can wear it though. Like Farplanner said it's in Kuftal Tunnel. I have seen it but never fought it but i did watch some high lvl japanese kill it is. Along with a group of 3 BSTs. (That was a funny site they had to tame pretty much every lizard and some crabs to kill it). It's a lizard type NM by the way.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on changing over to Ranger/Ninja. I am tired of Dragoon too bad it took me several months and 57 lvls to notice it.

heh, a few days ago the RNG in my static accidentally fired the Patriarch Protector's Arrow after using in for Sidewinder. The macro failed to switch the arrow back because of heavy lag or something and without realizing it he fired it next shot.

It only took like a week to get the 32000 CP though with the Windurstian Flag, so it wasn't too terrible though.

On a side note, when using this arrow for Sidewinder, his damage was about 70-80% higher on average compared to Scorpion arrows and about 30-40% higher than with Demon arrows. We changed around the macro so lag won't be as big an issue now and will probably get another arrow soon.

Erm i'd like to post about Ranger and HNM hunting,
i dont know what ppl wear who said rng sucks with HNMs =/
the only one i have problems hitting is Simrugh and Roc, and a bard takes care of that problem just perfectly -_- so rng isnt bad for hnm, at all.
Beacause ten billion years' time is
                    so fragile, so ephemeral...
                    it arouses such bittersweet,
                    almost heartbreaking fondness.

endgame rng doesn't have a problem hitting hnm's. 70-75 we get so much extra racc from equipment that missing is rare against most anything. If you don't have the best equipment then get in a pt with a brd or hope a rdm can land a gravity and you shouldn't have much trouble unless your equipment is just horrible. I'm mithra and haven't been around a rng of another race for hnm fights so i'm not sure if they can hit as easily but with the best equipment i don't think other races would have any problems either.
as for the subjob, i go with /nin for hnm's and exp. You can argue that /nin will lack the damage that /war can do, but go fight some hnm's with /nin and you will see (if your equipment doesn't suck) that you already pull hate if you go all out, why would you want more dmg, atleast with /nin you can hold off and blink tank a while (especially 74+), hopefully until the tank can re-establish hate.
For exp pts i think /war or /nin are both good. /nin is good for when things go wrong, has better possible accuracy, and still does good dmg. /war is good if there is a powerful skillchain/mb that is going to kill whatever you're fighting anyway, and/or if you have a good thf(rare). /sam could be good for hnm fights where you're subbing in melee to ws then subbing them back out to get tp. Don't expect to be spamming ws's with it unless you do them at the right times or plan on dying a lot.

also.. the origional post said something about barrage being 4 shots, then 5 shots at some higher level, i don't know if they changed it since then but that's now how it seems to work for me. My observation is that it shoots until you miss, reducing accuracy each shot. i haven't watched the arrow count but my guess is that you will lose the number of arrows that hit +1 for the miss. Max tp i could get at 75 from ws+barrage was somewhere in the 80% range, but after getting seiryu kote i have got over 100%tp return from ws+barrage a few times. Also there have been times when barrage has missed entirely on mobs that i miss maybe once every other fight with normal shots, i find it very very unlikely that i could miss 4 or 5 in a row. I'm sure the actual formula or something is posted somewhere and i just haven't seen it but oh well, this was my guess :D

Often argued b/w ninja and warrior. Check the other threads in the ranger forum. Many of them are near the top and argue both sides to no end. The more recent posts also reevaluate the usefulness of each since the latest patch.

PeteZeHut if you haven't noticed neighbourtaru had seperated your post from this thread and even left you a message about it. As Caspian has said you should find this info of best support job if you looked. I would recommend you read the Forum Rules PeteZeHut, some of your actions I'm sure are in it.
