I have not been able to find solid information on this question elsewhere. It seems that I see PUP/NIN still using the fist weapons rather than dual wielding daggers. Is there any particular advantage to using daggers all the time as PUP/NIN or is it only situational?

Re: PUP/NIN and Daggers
I can really only think situations like Limbus zones or BCNMs where changing up to an unconventional weapon for your job might end up being useful. MNK and PUP deal in Blunt-type damage, so the only situations you'd change from H2H would be where Blunt-type damage got a penalty or the mob was immune to blunt weapons.
Amorph mobs are an example of where blunt type damage (and general melee damage) suffers a penalty. Amorphs are more vulnerable to magic, being all blob like, stabbing and punching them doesn't do much.

Re: PUP/NIN and Daggers
Umm.... PUP/NIN with daggers is good when you want to give monsters a lot of TP while not doing much damage to them? =bBamboo shadows sweep the stars,
yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
leaving no trace in the water.
