Hello all ^^ i hope ur getting fun and doing very well

First of all i wanna start saying that i really hate the NIN job.... yes i know all of u will get mad but im just freely expresing myself, a legal thing.

ninja can not be compared to The Great Brickwall in any ANY aspects;

Tanking? do you really want me to repeat this? ok:
PLD has: the highest enmity ingame, the highest def in game, one of the highest mind in game so besides tanking he can cure himself, has the best shield and sword skills ingame, wich means that besides the best def, he has the best blocking skills ingame wich means everytime he blocks there wil be a BIG low on numbers when hit.

the best utsussemi ingame too, if you have your divine magic skill capped, trust me, they will miss like not just 3 times, but 6 or 8, and its only 1 sec a Flash Spell casting.
has the BEST way of SURVIVING (when everyone is down in the battlefield) why? of course, Invincible! plus Rampart + shell3+ magic defense bonus if u have rdm sub. so thats like really invincible, also has one of the best protect spells, (protect 4) only whm has 5....

also has the second Best HP ingame, because of AF. and finally Reprisal, Way better than any Spikes spell or Phalanx.
And if we were going to talk about dmg and good WSs.... nin is just a lil baby compared to SWORD WSs u know....
want me to mention some of them? ok: Spirits Whitin.... can be damn increased his DMG by having full hp and tp.... better than any nin WS.
Seraph Blade.... its a low lv WS but it can be the worst nightmare for the Undeads...
and finally the great Atonement.... u can do 750dmg every little few with this one, why? ok we have swords that ocasionally attacks twice plus Shield Mastery III wich gives u 3 extra tp when u get hit so roughly we get tp faster than a DRK or other DDs... can YOU do that? i dont think so.... Also PLD is one of the Best Soloers ingame... and also has the ablity to make GOOD dmg with a Balan's Sword (GreatSword) and DRK sub... yes he can, dont believe me? try subbing drk at lv70ish and make a GroundStrike with souleater and last resort to a NM u will see.... PLD is one of the best jobs ingame... myself i would say the best, he is the most loved jobs for every situation, BCNMs, Missions, NM fights... everything. ok i think is enough for pld now lets talk about NIN.

all he can do is use utsussemi and if he makes a single mistake hes dead cause the IT mobs will break his little back hole...
also he cant keep hate when theres a GOOD DD setup in party, also hes not able to do as many SC as Sword DO, also he has no job traits that can be compared to the PLDs, what does he hav? dual wield... wow you can now attk a few sec more faster weeeeeeee
dude i can get much more tp then u if i sub war plus my shield mastery plus double attak sword, DMG? hes just one little weak sauce.... dosent make any dmg eighter, ninjutsu? never seen one of them surprise me, cant compare to BLU spells.

FOR GOD SAKES DONT THINK IT AGAIN AND BECOME A PLD!

at least u wont have to use a tool everytime u dont want to take 3 hits wich u will take in less than 5 secs with some mobs...

sorry dude, i just didnt want to get inside every details of the job and abilities, it would be really long so, i just wrote the things i remembered... but anyways all i wanted to say is that PLD is the greatest jobs ingame and shouldnt be compared to NIN, nin is just weak on everything and people keep overrating him.

I think I lost about 20 points of IQ in the course of reading that ... and by the way, Flash only lasts 10 seconds at best, no matter your skill, so it's not going to help you avoid 6-8 attacks unless the mob is swinging REALLY fast.

1.
PLD= Best tank Ingame.
NIN= Never meant to be a Tank.

2.
PLD is better not just because is theb est tank, but can solo waaaaaaayy better than any nin.

3.
PLD can Deal DMG BETTER than NIN nowdays.

4.
PLD is the most wanted job at any sitiations(at least more than nin), NM fights, BCNM fights, missions etc.

5.
PLD has better ways and more chances of Surviving than nin.

The PLD vs. NIN stuff is soooo 2007. If you want to find people who will flamewar that at the drop of a hat, you may wish to try Allakazham or Killing Ifrit instead.

Once again indeed. These arguments have been beaten to death over and over and over for years, and no matter how much the same things are repeated, Ninjas still tank, they still get invites, and the job still functions as a main and a sub in any number of situations, because it works.

12 or 13 by the way (hard to pin it down with anything more than 1 sec of margin of error with /clocks and /recasts.)

Eween: You're obviously biased towards PLD (this coming from a career PLD), nobody cares about PLD vs NIN debates any more and most importantly you're necrobumping an old-as-sin thread that's been out of date for ages.

and yeah, this comes from my PLD career and i just wanted to defend my job vs any other, in this case, nin. but if that just bother you guys its ok i wont post about this anymore, i thot the comunity of this web page was a little bit nice with new posters, but i guess not.

Keep in mind how your post looked to others. I understand you didn't realize it was an older thread and that you were just trying to defend your job, but it did look to some as though you just came on to talk about how great pld was and how crappy nin was. Yes, our members can be overzealous in their opinions, but to many it looked as though you were bumping a thread to try and start a flame war. I realize you weren't but remember there are two sides to every disagreement and you post came across differently than you intended. As has been said, the pld v. nin debate/arguement has been beaten to death and there are arguments for both, as both have their place in endgame tanking.
