Now I am wondering... a size 1 shield, with more damage taken and more damage reflected, plus higher proc-rate for more frequent reflect and TP gain (I could be wrong, not sure how proc-rate is changed by this new spell), vs. the traditional size 3 shield?
/me still waiting for the d/l to be completely... 4 more hours to go~
Added: Another thing to test is see how hate is affected by each damage reflection.

The Size 3 shield will provide a much bigger increase in damage reduced on average when given an increase in proc rate. In fact, if the increase in proc rate is big enough, Size 4 shield may even be better (during that 1 minute anyways.) Ultimately I feel that is still the most important factor, since more native damage reduction = more capability to go all-out damage-wise and still take less damage than the next guy.
But It's possible that it maybe raises things proportionally, So Aegis gets a smaller bonus compared to a Size 1 Shield.
But wow, I just can't wait to get on line and go farming. PLD might have some decent farming survivability now. I get sick of MHing all my gear just to get on RDM. -_-
That 3 Minute recast (essentially 2 minutes without it) is awfully depressing.
If we don't like something, collectively, if our hatred for it throbs like an abscess beneath every thread, does that mean that they're doing something right?

As hard as it may be, don't take this game or your characters too seriously. I promise you - the guys that really own your account don't.

Pld/Rdm is really insanly surviable already. You can solo a ton of stuff on Pld.
With some haste gear my recast on Reprisal is 2:10 so with 1min duration can keep it up just under hald the time.
You can still reflect damage even with Stoneskin up, so you dont have to actually take damage. Phalanx however does decrease the amount of reflected damage.
Absolutely false. Phalanx does not decrease the reflected damage. Neither does Sentinel. And my Jelly Ring doesn't seem to decrease it either
Why wouldn't Phalanx decrease the reflected damage when Cocoon does? At least, that was the case when I've seen Cocoon and Gallant's Roll active together. I realize Phalanx and Cocoon aren't the same thing, but sheild blocking improvements aside, Gallant's Roll is rather similar to Reprisal
Also, Hank's one of the better tanks I've had the pleasure of working with, so I tend to trust his observations. I don't think he pulled that statement out of his ass.
