Hey I am going to spend 600k buying Martial Analace. I would like to know that the TP added effect is good or not. If any of you come across of using that sword, please let me know.

It's good for Spirits Within as you can use it at 200% which will equal a 300% Spirits Within damage. I haven't got Savage Blade so I'm not sure how that affects it. You'll greatly enhance your damage (or critical hit rate) if you have Vorpal Blade.
Basically the TP bonus is a 100% added bonus, meaning if you perform a weaponskill at 100% it will be performed at the 200% level.[LadyKiKi]
Soloed to 75

all done via BST sub where applicable (no DRG/BST!)

It's not just the Anelace either. All Martial weapons treat your TP as if it was 100% higher than whatever you had when you used it, capped at 300%. So as mentioned above, a 200TP Spirits Within with Martial Anelace will be treated as if it were 300%, and deal 50% of your current HP in damage.
If you had a Martial Wand you could activate Moonlight for a lot more MP, for example.

Well, not really. I do have a martial wand that I use to skillup club on PLD, and even with the TP bonus, it's still something like 30 MP restored. Spirit Taker it ain't. And its AOE is small enough that it won't necessarily hit the whole party. Basically Moonlight is just very disappointing no matter how much TP you have.
Sometime I might try picking up a Martial Staff to compare spirit taker results with Primate Staff's, though.
Not all weaponskills gain a lot from extra TP, and the martial weapons typically have slightly weaker stats otherwise. Hagun is often considered one of the strongest GKs because high level GK weaponskills *do* gain a lot from extra TP and because SAM do a lot of weaponskills, but when was the last time you saw someone using martial knuckles over destroyers, or martial lance over colossal/mezraq, or martial axe over woodville's/jugg/maneater? It also depends on each weaponskill's modifiers. For example, Savage Blade has a multiplier of 1.75 when used with 200% TP, but a multiplier of 3.5 when used at 300% TP. So when using a martial anelace, you get much more bang for your buck firing off SB at 200% TP (counts as 300 with the TP bonus). Fast Blade and Red Lotus Blade's TP multipliers don't progress as dramatically, so you're better off using your TP at 100.

Does the effect apply only with the Martial weapon as the main weapon?
Even so a Martial Anelace / Joyeuse combo would be nice for using Spirits @200TP kinda often in a long fight.sigpic

And you're right, Martial/Joyeuse is great for Spirits Within, though many rather choose Company for more DMG rating for merit parties. But if you go PLD/NIN against not-so-hard HNM's where you're "allowed" to attack, obviously it becomes the great damage source.
