Good for you. While I was leveling my Galka Paladin, about level 50 I came to the realization that my mp pool was horrible. (I knew it would be low but it was soooo low).
I almost made a new character to level Paladin on, but I am glad I stuck it out.

I think that this really sums it up for me:

After tanking a lot, people will get used to you, you will get used to yourself, and it gets easier.

I just learned how to use my race's advantages and tried to minimize it's weaknesses (within the Paladin job). You will be just fine I think

Also I know people have said this before, but I think when people play jobs that have some disadvantages from their race, I think they are often better players because of it.
(not as much room for error maybe?)

Lol yeah probley so. I just dont want to waste the dollar I spent so I may make somthing on it lol. But Davitron I guess you had the same sort of problem that I am having but mp instead of hp. Well... I have a mule now! o.o

Davitron kinda summed it up well. The possibility is there for any race to make up for their weaknesses. Taru can use all those nice MP->HP items. A nice pickup for Galka is the Republican Gold Medal (+50MP). There's lots of other ones, but the idea is that its not too difficult to make up for weaknesses.

im still considering going another race insted of taru. But hes 38 right now so I dont want to waste what I leveled lol... I still just cant help feeling gimped for some reason... I did not for any other melee I leveled besides pld lol.

Sorry... I guess i do have a problem with stats and things like that. I played Ragnarok online and i was very picky on what my build was and what stats I chose... And i guess thats why im having a problem with this... On RO I would remake/not play the charachter if i screwed up on it... So i think thats why this is screwing with me so I may have to level a elvaan pld or somthing just becuase this is screwing with my mind... Just its really making me angry for some reason, I guess Stats are important to me in deciding things.

I played RO for a couple years, so I know how that is. I came into this game with the same general attitude towards stats, but the more I played the more I noticed that +2 strength isn't potential wtfpawn like it is in RO. Actually, this game's system is...Weird, I guess would be a good word to use. It's not as clear cut and simple as alot of it's peers are, although it probably wouldn't be such a mystery if the devs would stop being gay about divulging what does what. It disturbs the hell out of me that we STILL haven't figured out what everything does yet. By the way, Spear Knights ftw.

Yeah, I still can't get that idea that stats are almost everything like they were in RO out of my head so I think im just going to make a new charchter... It will cause less torment in my mind. By the way, Battle smiths ftw.

There is nothing wrong with taru PLDs. You lose out a bit in stats but at least you're more unique than the hordes of elvaan PLDs.

No need to get all emo over it.

There is nothing wrong with taru PLDs. You lose out a bit in stats but at least you're more unique than the hordes of elvaan PLDs.

Actually to be honest, the majority of the PLD in my endgame Linkshells are Humes. There are maybe two Elvaan and only one Galka, I believe, but about seven or eight Humes.

Mine are elvaan in my ls. But i think he was saying over all.
i see quite a few elvaan pld. i think they make the most favored cookie cutter pld.

high hp, great str, vit and mnd. mp is just about right after equiped. that's besides the point of course considering the most standout pld i know are both an elvaan and a taru. so in the end, who cares!
