I would recommend Royal Jelly or if you have a bard, Steamed Sprouts will work.

I'm lucky that Erase is down to ~90k on my server

since we are on topic this may be usefull for those who want to do bcnm...here's my strategy for Carapace combatants http://ffxi.somepage.com/bcnm/6 :

1 pld/war
2 blm/whm

there's two beetles to fight, pilwiz and bisan, one blm cast elemental seal + sleep on bisan, 2 other players move to pilwiz and start killing/nuking it (Water II makes a lot of damages, best spell to use by far)...pilwiz cast Stonega II, don't forget to keep barstonra up.

while killing it, the second blm watch for bisan, if he wake up, elemental seal + slepp again ^^
this should be enough to kill pilwiz...you may even have time to rest before killing the second beetle.second beetle is really easy, just keep nuking it...he's weak to magic(i'm not sure but i think bisan is a sam...he gains tp really fast O_O)

easy bcnm and sometimes good drops

as pld, i went ful kampft set, used une persikos au lait and 2 yag drinks, and for food meat chiefkabob is fine, but i used seafood stew ^^, no problem at all ^^
