Re: PLD <3 Thread

I'll contribute some pld love to this thread.

Though in truth, I like them both about the same. PLD let me skillup divine by alternating Flash with them, while with NIN I can breathe easy until their casting gets interrupted, and then panic.

I just like whichever job is currently taking a beating so Mr. Delicate WHM doesn't have to.

I guess I'm not biased enough.

      Re: PLD <3 Thread

While leveling my Dragoon it always seemed like there wasn't a tank seeking, but now leveling Paladin I realize why that always seem true. Either they're already taken the second they log on before they go /anon, or they're tired of tanking. It's really not an easy thing to do, and it seems like I'd much rather leave any one party on a high note then stand at the AH for an hour instead of jumping from the end of one party to the beginning of another hoping the next one is better.

      Scissors and love for Paladins.

I am a Taru PLD, Hades server and must say it is great to see the love. The little fellas can hold our own and are hate dictators with our mp supply. It is amazing to see a Taru PLD hold down multiple mobs due to links/pops and finish with all members standing.

As an Elvaan PLD (sometimes) I feel pretty confident in my ability, but I have to say that I really love to see a Taru PLD in action. So cute!

            I've been partying in Caedarva Mire for the past few levels, and its been ALL TP burn parties with Ninja tanks. I've been going nuts, all I want is a good PLD ; ;

My LS is full of PLDs, and none of them have had any problem getting parties in the expansion zones. Then again, these weren't TP burn parties.

                    Re: PLD <3 Thread

I started playing PLD a couple of weeks ago at a friend's suggestion when I told him how much I enjoyed tanking on my main (WAR/NIN), but hated using NIN as a main. At the moment, it doesn't look like I"ll be going back to WAR anytime soon, because I'm enjoying PLD waaaaaay too much. I love the job, I love the fact that it's in demand (even at level 24 - I had a party actually wait for me to finish dinner last night because I couldn't join them right away, something that never happened with WAR), I love the fact that I don't need to completely rely on everyone else to keep me alive, and I love the little /salutes from other PLDs when we run past each other.

So yeah, much love for the PLD job from this mithra.

Haha I've been a Pld since I started playing, and it was my worst mistake because I've tried all the other jobs but summoner to 20-37ish and not a single one holds a candle to the PLD when it comes to fun and excitement! PLD 2 years going now playing off and on, sometimes you might catch me in jueno with my AF1 on just for the nostalgia of the early days haha!

                          Re: PLD <3 Thread

                          oooo story time.

couple weeks ago, I got an aht urgan party... burn layout. rdm, brd, war, war, sam. 2 Nins seeking. The JP rdm didn't want a nin and found a non-lfp pld. We went and fought crawlers/colibri.

17k exp in under 3 hours. Not bad for low 60s. That's also figuring in some excessively long downtime we had (my closest estimate for actual time exping is 2 hours and 35 minutes).

Humorously enough, I got a "War burn" party a few days later on Mount Zhayolm, fighting crawlers. war, war, war, nin, brd, whm. 6k exp in 3 hours o.o
